Re: EJ22D=153awhp. N/A. With room for more.
That's a very impressive n/a torque curve. From where do you source the EJ20D heads? I announced building the project on my FB and a friend responded with an engine he had planned to use. He, neither anyone else, could identify it. At first, I thought it was a full EJ20D from port size, but then he...

Re: Phase 1 ej25d head flow numbers
Slightly worked over EJ25D heads are practically equivalent to EJ20D heads. I have a thread two positions below this one that display what stock EJ20D heads can do on the dyno when paired to an EJ222 block through a 4eat, naturally aspirated. The number will surprise you and solidify any confidence ...

Re: The DOHC installation 'unspoken' details thread
Update to thread: DOHC heads are not limited to low compression. They can also be used to spike compression with the right head gasket thickness. Any WRX or STi timing belt assembly can be used in Phase 1 DOHC rebuild. I am using a full EJ257 timing assembly in my EJ22D. Ej25D heads have just as muc...

That's pretty cool. Any chance of getting the graph uploaded so we can see the shape of the torque curve? Graph 1 (paper). https://i.imgur.com/6QKKfW0.jpg Graph 2 (screen). https://i.imgur.com/3R3gOU7.jpg What does a stock one make on that dyno? 87awhp as was told to me by the tuner/operator. He pu...

EJ22D=153awhp. N/A. With room for more.
Before I get started with this thread, I want to say that whoever said N/A EJ's couldn't produce significant power at low cost, or that N/A hybrids could not do so at low cost, will be enlightened a bit by this post. Even I once followed this folly of not paying attention to N/A EJ's and believing t...

Re: EJ22T Pistons
^Good point. I found some pics that may support that here: https://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=42127 I've used OEM EJ25D gaskets on a 22T/205 hybrid and it matched up very well with the coolant passages of the 205 heads and 22T block. Wonder if the OP could use them for this build. EJ22T ...

Re: EJ22T Pistons
I'll start with the compression height. This is about 0.1 lower than the OEM EJ22T piston so this means that there will be a big compression drop, however, since the pistons is now down in the hole there is no more fear of making piston to head contact so just run the very thin EJ22E head gasket. P...
