Re: EJ22T Pistons
Ah my apologies. When I talk about the oversize of the pistons I'm talking about it relative to the original bore of the Buick V6 which is 96.5mm. So a 0.5mm oversize to the Buick bore would be 97mm, 0.75mm oversize would be 97.25mm

Re: EJ22T Pistons
Sorry but it will be difficult to update stuff. Currently getting ready to move states, my wagon was hit by a drunk driver and now in the process of swapping everything from my wagon to a forester. So I will try to answer everything right now. So first the pistons you get from Enginetech are Hypereu...

Re: EJ22T Pistons
Umm yes the 1999-2001 ej22 head gaskets line up perfectly with the EJ20 heads I wouldn't be using them if they didn't. Modifying head gasket is a thing I never do. Ill get some pictures when I can. That is an ej221/ej222 you're speaking of. Not an ej22e. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk Ahhh okay,...

Re: EJ22T Pistons
Just a little update. All is running well!! Have it running pretty good but since I'm only using 440cc injectors I'm limited on what I can do. Pretty much have it hitting around 16psi till about 5k RPMs and have to taper off to 10psi using a 6k RPM redline

Re: EJ22T Pistons
Final compression ratio was 7.4 :1 with using the OEM combustion chamber size of the WRX heads. I used that due to not be able to measure mine correctly but since I had them shaved 0.006 I can comfortably say I'm at 7.5 : 1. And I think final measured for piston to deck height was 0.12 in the hole. ...

Re: EJ22T Pistons
Finally able to get back to this. The engine is up and running beautifully with the exception of a oil leak I'm tracking down. Have some pictures off the pistons sitting at TDC in the block before I sent it back out for the final decking and cleaning and you will have to excuse me I'm not much of a ...

Re: EJ22T Pistons
Yup they are a 2 valve and valve relief pocks are not there. But it has the same style of dish cut as the EJ22t and those have a very minor relief cut. I will assemble the motor and check clearances with some clay will adjust after if needed. But you do have to keep in mind that with the OEM specs t...

EJ22T Pistons
Want a cheap alternative piston for the EJ22T without going forged or hopefully be able to find O/S OEM pistons. Well I may have found a solution that I don't think has been done before ( I searched but not that hard). So a little back story. I got a bunch of parts to do an EJ22T w/ EJ20 heads swap ...
