Re: Brake info/FAQ
So if I read through this correctly, I could upgrade the front brakes of my 94 turbo wagon to 06-07 4 pots, and leave the oem brakes in the rear and the biased would be okay?

The wagon in Tumwater is a Winestone Ruby, pretty close to the winestone mica but not exact

Curious how much that front bumper cost you. I would love to have a brand new one on hand if they’re still available

Re: 6mt differences
Awesome, that actually sounds like it would be a pretty comfortable cruising rpm. My current auto cruises at about 3k give to take a few, and it often feels sluggish. 3300-3500 sounds like a nice aggressive change. Thanks for the good info!

6mt differences
Those two transmissions are interchangeable. The Japanese transmissions tend to have shorter gear ratios than the us, as you posted, so their highway cruising RPMs are higher. Personally, having high cruising RPMs drives me nuts. Do you know about how much of a difference it makes? Currently with t...

6mt differences
I’ve been looking at my options for a manual swap and I’ve settled on saving for a 6mt. I’m compiling a list of parts and just wanted a little bit of clarification when it comes to transmission codes and differences. Ive seen 2 6mt swaps and both were running a trans code ty856wh3ma, from a US sti. ...

1st gen legacy parts in Oregon?
I’m in the area. Scooped hoods are somewhat hard to come by, but keep an eye on the pick n pulls around you. I’m always seeing a constant flow of 1st gen legacy’s come through the Vancouver location so you could probably find some of the other parts

Are these compatible?
So I’ve got some squealing in the front driver brakes when I’m reversing, so I’m looking into some new front brakes. Just looking for a second opinion from someone with more experience so I don’t end up ordering the wrong parts, as it’s my daily driver. Just need to know if these pads and rotors are...

No power light
So this has been bothering me a while so I thought I’d ask you guys what you thought. My power light used to work as it should, coming on when you get onto the gas. My car sat for a while and now that it’s back on the road, the light isn’t working. It comes on when I turn the car on, goes off. When ...

Re: FS (WA): 92-94 SS/TW Hood with Scoop - $200 OBO
Yeah, no kidding I’ve been eyeballing this hood ever since it went up for sale but I’m not moving to WA until October
You can bet that if you still have it then, I’ll be all over it.

Awesome, will definitely make sure to check it out. Any tests I can do to check for failure or is the only option to buy a new one and test it out?

Boost cutting out
Stock 94 Turbo wagon, no engine mods or add ons other than a boost gauge. Will be boosting normally making around 9 pounds of boost and all of a sudden I’ll be making what feels like no boost, can hear the turbo spool get quieter and my gauge doesn’t read over 5 pounds and I can’t feel that boost at...

Awesome simple writeup man. Particularly love the section on the Teins because that's my situation to a T. Will be getting to you about some street advance z's in the near future

Re: WTB 1.5 din dash pocket and 94 wagon tail lights
Yeah and I'm pretty sure it's exclusively a subaru thing to deal with our weird 2.5 din dash and it's damn near impossible to find. I ended up just going with a single din and a random piece of abs to fill the gap for now. Still looking for those damn tail lights though/:

Re: Tein Street Advance Z
Yeah I've read plenty of your threads and comments and what you have to say on Tein, but it's the best quality I can find while still ok a budget, while also lowering my car a couple of inches. I'm still scraping some money together after spending 2k on rims and tires after shipping to AK, but after...

Tein Street Advance Z
Hey all, so the other day I completely blew out my right rear strut so I think it's time to upgrade. Not looking for absolute top of the line suspension, just some quality and a few inches lower but I came across these Teins that are in my price range and I was just hoping to get a second opinion as...
