Thanks for the replies. I'm not familiar with electrical steering pumps and wanted to find out more info. This isn't for a Suby application. The mechanical power steering on the Legacy is more than adequate. I'm in the process of building an off-road vehicle and thought the use of an electric power ...

Electric Steering Pump

Howdy all,

I'm trying to find some info on an electric steering pump. What vehicles did they come in? How well do they hold up? Cost?

TIA!

Thanks for the headlight polishing link! 8) 70% of my driving is mountain roads. This time of year, it's dark going to and from work. My lens' are hideous. The dull yellow just defuses the light and even the brights are useless. I just ordered a set of Hella 530 driving lights. After pricing new len...

Try cleaning the battery connections first. Sounds too easy but usually fixes the problem.

Clutch/Ignition Switch Or...?

Howdy all,

Can someone please tell me what the second (lower) switch on the clutch bracket is? The upper switch engages the ignition but I can't seem to figure out what the second one does.

TIA!

Well, I don't actually own an XT. Just the seats. The drivers seat is the worst. The side panel, where the recline lever is, has a long wide tear. The upper side, where the shoulder belt rubs, is rotted away (ie; one big hole). Now the stitching is coming out of the center of the seat. I'm running o...

Seat Covers For Legacy or XT

Howdy all,

I have some mid '90 XT seats that have seen better days. They are still comfortable and I'd like to keep them. Anyone know of a seat cover that will fit the XT seats or a close match?

TIA!

Try The Right Stuff. I've been using it with great success. The caulking tube is the easiest. Make sure the two mating surfaces are oil free. Also, do everything you want to do before the oil pan gets sealed back on. This stuff is a real pain to separate once it's cured. I wish I would have found th...

I had to build a wiring kit for an old vehicle once. Too much wiring, traveling too far with too small wiring. Started with 18g and replaced it with 12g. Re-routed the power from the ignition to straight off the battery. Added some solenoids, actuated by the old wiring, and some breakers (instead of...

I've been looking at three gauge clusters but haven't found a good place to install them. I like your console idea. :) Is the stereo/gauge plate a production or homemade piece? How does it attach to the console?

Thanks for any advice!
