Re: FS: 1994 Touring Wagon - FWD
It did not sell on CL after a few weeks so I pulled it down. Still available though. I was asking $2500 on CL, I'm willing to let it go for $2200 to someone from the BBS, but that is really my price floor as it's worth more to me in spare parts for anything less than that. Let me know what you think...

FS: 1994 Touring Wagon - FWD
Bought this car cheap as a contingency parts car for my Vanagon EJ22T swap. Never needed the parts, fixed it up to be our daily driver for a year or so. Bought a new Outback XT and now I much prefer driving the Vanagon when I get the chance. Current CL post: https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/d...

ABS-2E Pump Runs at Launch - Normal?
Anyone have experience with their ABS-2E system pump running for about 1 second every time after a start and after getting the car rolling, maybe 5mph? Wondering if this is normal system behavior. Seems suspect to me as it tends to happen when reversing out of a parking stall. I've learned to antici...

WTB: 3mm to 4mm Vacuum Tee and Boost Control Assy
Anyone happen to have an extra vacuum/boost tee laying around? This is the tee that sits between the front passenger side intake manifold port and the pressure exchange solenoid. Supplies vac/boost to the aux. purge valve. Part number is 42090AA000 and you can find it as Part #54 on diagram 420-6. D...

Re: SVX Seat Swap
Thanks! I'm gonna have to find someone parting out an SVX and ask if they will let me test fit a seat. The SVX was such a Subaru oddball, I have my doubts. Then again it's Subaru and nearly everything is cross-compatible, so we shall see.

ABS-2E - Checking Codes and Bleeding
The ABS-2E system has not had a dedicated write-up on this forum and with my recent purchase of the ABS-2E factory service manual supplement, I thought I would share some of the basics all in one thread. First off, let's cover how to identify the ABS braking system on your 90 to 94 Legacy Nippon Bra...

SVX Seat Swap
Anyone know from personal experience if the SVX leather seats will fit into the 90-94 Legacy? I want to drive a turbocharged sofa and those seats look super dreamy.

I'll take the 440cc injectors, one of the EJ22T IAC valves and the EJ22T coil pack and spark plug wires. Do you have a set of stock EJ22T pink top injectors by chance also?

Re: Three wire speed sensors vs. two wire speed sensors
I have this one verified. Short answer: The 3 wire VSS output pin can be connected directly to pin B11 on our 91 to 94 ECUs Explanation and Testing: The 3 wire speed sensor takes +12V power and ground and outputs an alternating low resistance/high resistance pulse. With the VSS output disconnected f...

Re: Turbo Inlet 90 Elbow No Longer Available
My elbow was toast, but I had to reconfigure the intake anyway since the engine is now in a Vanagon. But, it definitely can be done.

91-94 Turbo Crossmember - FREE
Turbo crossmember from a 91 SS. Came out with the engine and kept for contingency on a Vanagon engine conversion project. Found an easier method than having to make something custom using the stock crossmember. It's been hot tanked, super clean and ready to go. Local pickup in Portland, OR only. Sen...

Alright, so I've been able to locate ECUs with the following part numbers:
22611AA691
22611AA692
22611AA693
22611AA634
Now I'm looking for an ECU with part number 22611AA690.

Portland, OR, wtb: 91SS ECU
I'd like to get my hands on a spare ECU from a 91 SS. Please PM me if you have one you's like to sell. $80 to $100 price range seems to be the market these days.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Starter stud options for the 6spd
I ran into this issue matching a 91 EJ22T to a 2006 TY754 push clutch transmission from a non turbo Impreza. This transmission case has a through-hole for a non-existent stud. I drilled to 1/2" and then tapped 14x1.4 threads for a 10x1.25 Keensert thread repair insert. A bit of advice. Drill th...

Re: Three wire speed sensors vs. two wire speed sensors
Found the 2006 FSM wiring diagram and I'm seeing that new VSS does indeed output a 5V square wave using 12V ignition sourced power and ground. I still don't think that it would be best practice to connect the newer VSS output directly to the older ECU speed sensor pin since the ECU is already output...

Re: Three wire speed sensors vs. two wire speed sensors
Interesting. I have not tested it yet, but I will before deciding on the appropriate next step. Do you know if the supply voltage to the newer three wire VSS is +12V ignition switched power?

Re: Three wire speed sensors vs. two wire speed sensors
Not worried about the speedometer. The newer VSS outputs a square wave that has a max voltage greater than 5V. I want to use the new VSS signal but I'm weary of connecting that VSS output directly to the ECU because we know that our older ECUs are designed to have only 5V on pin B11.

Re: Three wire speed sensors vs. two wire speed sensors
I'm tacking on to this thread because I'm up against this issue with my Vanagon conversion project. I have a 2006 Impreza 5MT transmission with an integral 3 wire VSS. I need to adapt the 3 wire VSS system to the 91-94 OBD1 legacy system which receives its vehicle speed via a speedometer reed switch...

Re: SBF-1 & SBF-2 Schematic Clarification
What is the long time melting ampacity for the fusible link? Looks like the fusible link protects the alternator and alternator wiring from battery through-faults in case of a stator winding short. I'm thinking about reusing the engine compartment fuse box, but it may be easier for me to go with a s...
