Lost Reverse... help

'93 SS, 4eat. 150k miles. Backing into a space at the softball field Friday night and lost reverse. We took it to the shop and started a few diagnostics this evening. No abnormal bits in the pan. we hooked up the pressure gauge to the Reverse servo pressure test-point. Only pushed around 24psi when ...

I was using brake torque to get those times, and like was mentioned previously, doing that at a higher boost will most likely end up with broken parts.

I ran 15.7 @ 85, bone stock in my auto (besides the 45* airbox + coffee mod). That is at Lebanon Valley Dragway (~Albany, NY). I would say that with those psi and opened intake and exhaust, it'll be close to that initial number stated. Hopefully you get that issue worked out and hit the strip soon.

Here's my deal: I happen to like autos. I grew up at the dragway and 95% of legit drag cars use autos. I plan on running my car, as I have done with all my other ones. I like the launch and consistancy of an auto. ( "if you wanted a drag car, you shouldnt have bought a subaru" - I love sub...

I'm not necessarily looking for extra horsepower, per se. I'm more interested in a quicker response from the engine. I've spent a decent amount of money on parts to get some additional HP, I'm looking for something that will be a good complement to those parts.

I appreciate the input. When I get out of work, I'll dig around this site to see what brands people are using. Any quick suggestions on who makes a quality one, and possibly who to stay away from? Money isnt really a big deal, I'm trying to not cut any corners on this project of mine. Story Time: Th...

Lightweight crank pulley on stock EJ22t

What are your thoughts on putting a lightweight crank pulley onto a stock EJ22t? (not underdriven) My concern is that by having stock internals, as opposed to balanced, I might run the risk of damping issues.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks

Looks like Rick beat me to it. I rigged up a 5th injector on my XT using a Hobbs pressure switch and a relay. Your idea would use the same setup, but just have a sprayer system instead of an injector. The Hobbs switch is fully adjustable, I had mine set to kick on the injector at like 12psi... it wa...

I would say no, not at all. From what I know, underoath is kind of emo / sing songy. Since The Flood is more of a straight hardcore style. Think Hatebreed, Bury Your Dead, and Full Blown Chaos as similar styles.

Since The Flood - 24k

They're a pretty sick hardcore/metalcore band out of the Boston area. Kind of along the same vein as Hatebreed.

The scoop is there to direct air over the turbo for the sake of cooling it. If you look, you'll see that there is some metal work inside of the scoop which aims the air a 'heat shield' that goes around the turbo, that is called the chimney. because our cars didnt come with intercoolers, the only pur...

FMIC - intake question

You Guys with FMICs. What kind of intake setup are you using? My charge pipes will sit where the stock intake goes, so I'll need to fab up a new intake setup. Pics/Links would be appreciated. Im assuming I'll just go with a good cone filter and just find a spot to stick it. I'm looking to see if any...

It is my understanding that the intake resonator is there mainly for noise reduction. Search the "coffee cup mod" and you will find a ton of information on that topic. I went a slightly different route on my car, and used a '98 Legacy GT air box, which has its outlet at a 45* angle instead...
