OK. I'm an idiot. Flashing trans oil light =problem not hot oil.
Pressure sensor is bad. Used tranny pan as a jacking point.
Anyone know the interchange for this part?

Re: auto tranny suddenly overheating
The fluid was new and I drove roughly 1200 miles since putting the filter & fluid change.
It doesn't smell burnt.

Re: auto tranny suddenly overheating
I put new filter and fluid when I finished the swap.
Not sure if the previous Owner ever changed fluid.

Re: auto tranny suddenly overheating
Some things to add.
Tranny fluid and filter are.new not sure of the when the fluid was changed if ever.
I drained some of the fluid and it was a deep maroon color, not the bright red.
Is it possible that the new fluid lossened up some build up and the long drive clogged up the filter?

auto tranny suddenly overheating
I recently put in an jdm ej20 to replace a dead ej25 in a 2001 legacy. Took the ej25 manifold and put it onto the new shortblock. Drove fine for a month. Had cel p1507 and p0507. Air idle control valve. Went on a long drive last weekend and the tranny oil light came on. now it will not make the 24 m...

ok so I checked the grounds and they are all reading 12v. I decided to hook up the two black connectors and the CEL reads 11 Crank angle sensor 21 Water temp sensor 31 Throttle Sensor 35 Canister purge solenoid. I checked the connectivity of the engine harness and it is good. How do I check various ...

problem w/EJ22T injectors
I am finishing up my swap into the RX and I am trying to start it. Here is what is happening. The fuel pressure regulator is really loud. The car starts and then dies right away. I isolated the problem to the injectors 2 and 4. The engine runs ok with starter fluid being sprayed into the intake so I...

rebuilding EJ22T. need help w/a few things
I am in the middle of a rebuild and I need to see if someone has diagrams for the water system. I have this piece of steel tubing that I don't remember where it goes to. I also need help in mounting the turbo onto the engine. I forgot how the bracket is orientated. Other than that things are going w...

help with stock boost controller wiring
I plan to be putting a EJ22T into a RX and I am working on the harness.
I found all of the connections to the stock boost controller but one. This the white connector with a black wire and a white wire. Where does the other part go?

engine harness wiring question.
I have an 92 EJ22t and I am swapping it into a RX. I pretty much finished stripping down the engine management wires and stuff away from the body harness and I have three wires that I need to ID. They are white-green, green-white and black-green. I think they are coming from connector b15 (square 12...

Oil in #1 cylinder
I have a EJ22t and I am doing a head swap on it. I had it sitting on a moving dolly with the flywheel side up for about 2 weeks. I put it on the engine stand and when I took the intake off and I rotated it towards the passenger side and oil poured out of #1 cylinder. There was no hole in the piston....

trimming the harness to just the engine bits would be the easiest. I think that if you were to make sure that all of the connections and lose wires are sealed properly and shielded there shouldn't be any problems. I am going this route w/a RX. It's not going to be a rally monster like yours, just a ...
