yeah, unfortunately in my case, i had a stupid metal bend that went up right into the path of the left ic inlet... even when i tried to just stuff it under the pitchmount, the "dogleg" upwards was still in the way. don't know if it applies or not.

lmfao, i'd be happy with just stuffing 2 vf34's into my engine bay, and doing custom headers and ECU.

no mine does not. i'm in a 4eat anyway, so the whole argument of loss of power while shifting doesn't apply... it only vents when i take my foot off the accelerator, or when i brake. As for what it does in a 5mt... in my opinion it's not a big deal... if you're going to be running crazy boost, on up...

unfortunately i don't think that will work. unless the angle of how it's connected to the flange can be changed, i'd say the throttle cable assembly will be in the way. this is what mine looks like connected to an 03 wrx tmic http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y299/jlee_toronto/IMG_520.jpg as you can ...

alright hope these photo's help. was fixing a wiring problem my exhaust shop caused, so i had to take the intercooler out. This is assuming you've already relocated the coolant resevoir, off the drivers side intake manifold. in the first photo, you can see that i relocated the ignitor, and mounted i...

i paid $400 cdn to swap my metal pipes to rubber hoses, retrofit r134 instead of the r12, just so that i could fit the intercooler. the y-pipe elbows wouldn't fit in with the old a/c lines. expensive, but totally worth not cooking in the summer :D what can i say, i live in the car, and i'm a wimp......

Have Nico explain it to your wife! "It just go fucking quick!" That's all you need :) actually that's not a good idea... i haven't let the two of them meet yet. If she saw what he's done to his car, and guesses what i have planned for mine based on that... ugh... i'd never hear the end of...

nope, that's what i'm running. i'll be rolling the rear inner fenders this spring, and though i'll eventually be going with KYB's i may just give a set of stiffer springs a try.

proper tire fitmet is actually 225/35/18

good luck!

I've heard someone say to unscrew the rear plate off the back of the sensor in the metal maf. Registered much more flow, or something like that... dunno if that helps.

okay to update: Yesterday i had the hood up, and the turbo also appears to have gotten noisy now, just on idle with the hood open i can hear it, almost sounds like it's vibrating? Could just me being overly cautious, as i find that sometimes it seems like the whole exhaust system is louder on someda...

do our OBD I computers remember CEL codes? I have seen the light trip and then disappear within 10 seconds, and this has happened usually at high sustained acceleration at high speeds, but it isn't easily recreatable. I'd be a little frustrated if i paid for an electrical diagnostic, and it doesn't ...

lol, yeah... been there before :D everything with the exception of the plugs and wires have been checked, though the plugs were supposed to have been done at the last service. 2 weeks before the turbo and intercooler upgrade, i had a $1700 service done at Subaru. 96k, 48k, boots and belts etc,etc re...

Detonation? Misfire? need some advice if possible.

Not quite sure if this is detonation or something else... was driving along this morning gave it WOT while already at 100-110kph while at 2nd stage boost of 15psi, felt like a momentary loss of power, a sound sort of like a deep BOV release and giant black puff came out the exhaust. not grey, not wh...

congrats!

whenever i hear my friends HKS i'm a little envious. It's much louder and higher pitched then my Blitz.

i had to remove the same bracket... to fit the intercooler, didn't even think about it getting in the way of the BOV.

lol, a working website?

j/k,

yeah, obviously if you can recreate the stock environment with a recirc BOV you may as well...

however, like you said, there is a recirce kit for the HKS and if you can get a good deal on it... more power to you.

here's a photo from the same angle of my intercooler and bov. the only thing you can't see in either photo is going to be depth of the connector between the flange and the bov itself...in my case it's a solid column, with the HKS unit it stands off the flange by a bit. http://i7.photobucket.com/albu...

gotcha... judging by this photo on the hksusa.com site http://www.hksusa.com/images_products/1438.jpg i should think it would clear the cables for the throttle, but when i looked on the site, i couldn't find any flange only kits for the wrx intercooler, just complete setups for $$$. the only part of...
