I have on on my GT (97) with a PRM inline filter....unfortunately, I didn't realize how tightly sealed you really need your fender to be when doing this, if you drive 80 in six inches of snow for hours on end.... My car started running poorly, pulled over to find the filter totally clogged with many...

So if its really a 2.2, and its really a sohc like you say, then this is a legacy turbo engine. But then it must be a single turbo, not twin. No IC right....maybe its just an NA 2.2? They are cheap and common, good to rip someone off with....Did they even use NA EJ22's in JDM models?

has anyone seen good pictures of the seconds? I wonder if perhaps it would be worth it for me to take one of those rather than nothing at all... assuming they are still around, assuming I can contact him.... I still really want the hood....but its just ridiculous, especially the lack of contact. Has...

Well, there is no impreza with twin turbos, not from the factory, not from STI. There are legacies....however, there are no 2.2 twin turbos made by subaru at all. The only 2.2 turbos are the legacy turbo 91-94 and the 400ish impreza 22b's. The 22b is a dohc, while the legacy turbo is a sohc. That wo...

:D this just had to come up eventually. I can't even keep track of all my accidents, speeding tickets, suspensions, no insurance, no inspection, close calls, warnings, being "let off", outrunning them, etc etc. Its a never ending battle to stay legal, or to stay "uncaught". I act...

Much as a driver I hate to say it, but no speed limits (aka safe and reasonable or whatever) done US style sucks. What it really means is the speed limit is whatever the cop wants for any given person at any given time. Everyone is driving 100+ and you get pulled over at eighty for having lo...

I was thinking about that... I also think that magnacore doesn't make the spark plug boots for their subaru wires, I think they buy ones from subaru and attach them to their wires, you can see the silicon where they seal it. I think I might ask if I can send back my 97GT wires and get them to put th...

It doesn't seem to me that the DOHC EJ25 wires spark plug boot will fit right with the SOHC EJ25. Looking at the wires that are on their now, that were there when I bought it from Adam, they don't look like any DOHC EJ25 spark plug boot I've seen. This is a pickle. Well, today I get my magnecors for...

I'm confused...I always thought that the 535i always had a 3.5 liter inline six... I know it did in the late eighties for a while at least. It really had a v6 in 93?

I must have missed the message or that part... So they are the 97 GT wires? Interesting...I'm surprised they fit at the plug end since one is SOHC and one is DOHC, it would thing the design would have been different and such. This is good, as I have a set of magnecors of this type already from my ol...

help me find correct plug wires!

I need to replace my plug wires. I'd like to get something aftermarket, nice silicon whatever. But I have a phase II EJ25 in my 97 GT. (boostjunkies ex) and I have a 97 GT diamond coilpack. Hence my plug wire dilemma. I've posted about this on nasoic, didn't get much help. My turbos away for the win...

slotted rotors: effect on brake pad wear?

Hello all... Did a search, but not too much directly addressing this issue, with slotted rotors, how is brake pad wear affected? I am in need of front breaks, so I am getting cryo treated rotors and some hawk hps pads (probably, maybe axxiss ultimates or mintex) and can't decide about slotted rotors...

Bendix mintex (axxiss pads) and mintex pads? same?

Hello all...
I have always heard great things about mintex pads, and have had good experiences with them as well (cept for the dust) but I've also heard good things about axxiss metalmaster and ultimates...well, anyways, they are made by bendix mintex...are these the same companies?
thanks

Fuel filter? Sometimes if there is a lot of crud in a tank, and you run it way way down, it might get sucked up, and clog your filter or something.... Of course I've also noticed that subaru tend to have about a gallon in reserve, that can't be used, you'll run out of gas and its still in there. I t...
