Re: An ECU scan tool for turbo and NA owners
Not sure, but I've got a cable for this that I'd be willing to part with.

Re: Scotty's Tranny Cocktail - the Magic Synchro Fix (Maybe
Synthetic fluid can help quiet it down a tad, but the only cure is a rebuild. The only synthetics we've determined to work well are: Valvoline 75w90 Synthetic, Motul Gear 300, and Amsoil Severe Gear.

Re: An ECU scan tool for turbo and NA owners
That blue port is to attach a monitor. You'll need an older laptop with the printer port like on the left there, there's no easy way around it. These should be between free and cheap at this point, and will likely have dead batteries, so a power inverter and power cord will likely be required; that'...

Re: An ECU scan tool for turbo and NA owners
How long did you wait? It's been a while since I used it but I remember it certainly wasn't instant. Check continuity on your cable to be sure you wired it right.

I'm afraid not, I think those are the only parts I sold.
EDIT: removed parts I'm sure I don't have anymore from the first post.

They literally stole Vikash's code without asking. He's commented on it before, not sure where. Vikash said they messed up a few parameters.

Re: Larger Wheel and Tire Fitment thread
All 1990+ Subarus are, except the Tribeca, SVX, 05+ STI, and I'm not sure about the current Legacy/Forester/Impreza, but those aren't likely what you're concerned about.

Hmm, based on that it looks like the offset would be +45mm. Those are some big wheels, don't think it'll fit on the inside without spacers. I'm not an expert on this, might want to wait for someone else to chime in. Btw, your wheels should have the measurements on them, something like 17x8.5 EJ45. M...

Buying tires can be a pain since they do cost, but you should try to convince yourself it's worth it. It's a safety issue, they're the only thing between your car and the road. They stop the car, the brakes are just for slowing the wheel/tire assembly. Last time I had cheap tires my ABS would go off...

Looks like it should fit comparing it to my wheels which were about max sized.

Site I used to compare: http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp?showAd=-1
What's the wheel offset?

Total mispost, my bad. I meant to look at a previous post and quoted the whole thing. What I mean to say is yeah, Extra-S is good for the money, but Motul 300 is certainly the best, but might cost you $80 to fill your transmission (Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90 is just a step below Motul 300). Some peopl...

I'm talking about my BC ('92 sedan) compared to my BK ('98 wagon, pretty much the same as BG, yeah). The sedans also have a trunk cage stock (horizontal steel bar behind the top of the rear seats) to keep the rear stiff, and then I added the rear strut brace. I have high hopes for a rear strut brace...

RCVD: 14" Wheels Near Southern NH/Northern MA
UPDATE: I'm all set, got some, thanks!
I got some 14" snow tires; need cheap, vibration free stock Subaru wheels to put them on.
I'm in Nashua NH 03063, the closer the better. I'd like to avoid driving more than 30 miles if possible.
Thanks!

Alright, we left off with nothing left but to bolt it back together after the JB Weld cured. This afternoon I gently threaded the bolt in until I was sure the first couple thread were in. Then I removed it and put Loctite on the threads; this brand new high quality nut and bolt go together so cleanl...

All that didn't keep the crap out of my ears, there was so much I could feel it move around when I tiled my head. SO, UPDATE: I cut the free spinning bolt's head off with my Dremel, which was much easier after my friend educated me about using soft cutters for hard things and vice-versa, switching f...
