i got the 2.5 bottom end with my 90 2.2 top, i got some thicker gaskets from a company in Ohio, but they were made for the swap as well, they line the water jacket holes up better. I just ran 93 in it and it was fine. Only problem i had was the oil pump in the 2.5 wasn't up to pair and after 6 night...

I'm a idiot, i did have the arrow pointing towards 12 o'clock instead of 3. I never even saw the hash mark. Thats what i get for having tunnel vision. Fixed that and bumped the starter and it fired right up with no problems. As for it running, my old 2.2 was a good motor, when i pulled it tho both o...

2.5/2.2 build question

My engine wont start and I can't figure out why. I will do my best to explain everything i have done so far. I started out with a bone stock 90 legacy with an auto 2.2. I picked up a 96 2.5 out of a legacy. I replaced all the seals on the bottom end of the 2.5 then i bolted on my 2.2 heads, timing s...

How hard was the tuning, I dont have much experience with it, but i was hoping it was easy enough to pick up rather quickly. I have alot experience with wiring, so that wouldn't be a problem.

MPG is not a worry, it isn't a daily driver, my car spends most of its time running between 4500 and 6200 RPMs

now will my 2.2 ecu run the 2.5 if i dont swap the heads and intake? I wanted to pull my stock motor, drop in the whole 2.5 and then i'll have a backup motor if i ever blow it up.

for what i'm doing with my car, it has to be N/A. Plus i don't know anything about turbos. If i did swap the 2.5 in, would my stock 2.2 ecu run it, or would i have to swap the wiring harness as well? Sorry for all the questions, i tried searching but i found mostly things about head swaps, not whole...

Best Place for Parts?

I'm getting ready to start collecting parts to do a rebuild, but I can't seem to find anywhere that sells higher performance engine parts for a 2.2 N/A.

This is my first subie build, so if anyone has some ideas or tips for my build, let me know.

rim weights

Does anyone have the weights of different rims? I'm trying to find the lightest alloy rims available in 14in. I would also like to know what the stock 14in steel rim weighs to see the difference. Thanks for any help I get.

I got a suby I run as well, car is into it's third year. In fact it is the only car at my track that has ran for three years in a row. Only problems i have with it is that the weight of the car will eat up the right front tire real quick. Took home the win in my second race ever http://img479.images...

Why do you want a stiffer right side, than left? The job of the suspension is to keep your car settled and balanced as well as possible, at any speed. By designing instability into your suspension, it's almost like multiplying by odd numbers; you're not going to come out even, no matter what. Hence...
