Re: Wiring Tuck and consolidation

The circuit itself runs from the relay at the fuse box to the switch in the dash then from there across the dash to the passengers side of the car then down to the floor where the main body harness is then back to the window. I highly doubt you have a harness issue, its probubly the switch, relay or...

Re: Behind Dash Relay Location Guide With Pictures!

Ah, well that would be a whole lot more pics and for a different forum. But I suppose I could do a write up when I reinstall the dash, but that wont be for awhile yet. I'm still gathering parts and laying out components of the harness.

Re: Wiring Tuck and consolidation

The relay is located at the in car fuse box under the dash. If you look directly at the fuse box its the relay at the top left. As for the circuit it's different depending on if you have a wagon or sedan, but the power wire is the passenger side connector at the window for both. If its a wagon check...

Re: EJ20G "RobTune" Info

Oh I've used those many a time lol and thanks again for all the great info. On another note would it be feasible to use the +12v supply from the waste spark coil (yellow wire at pin2 in coil connector) and split it 4 ways to power my 05 STi coils? Sorry if this has been hashed out somewhere else jus...

Re: Behind Dash Relay Location Guide With Pictures!

Panel? do you mean the fuse panel or the bracket that holds the fuel pump and ignition relay? There is also a bracket that holds the horn and blower relay too.

Wiring Tuck and consolidation

As I've commented on in a couple other places I'm in the process of cleaning up my engine bay while I'm waiting for the $$$ to finish my engine. I've never really liked how subaru routed the harness' in the engine bay of their older cars and I'm deleting my ABS, my AC is long gone and I need to add ...

Re: EJ20G "RobTune" Info

Can anyone point me in the direction of which ECU terminals correspond with the individual ignition coil signals. I'm going to be adding in circuits from my Robtune ECU out to my coils (05 WRX) Lots of good write ups on how to install the duel ignitor setups but I can't seem find a straight forward ...

Behind Dash Relay Location Guide With Pictures!

I'm in the process of rewiring my car and during the teardown I shot some pics and thought I'd make a guide to some common relay locations. The car is a 92 turbo sedan but these should be applicable to most of our cars. Sorry if the colors are hard to read, they seemed to be the ones that showed up ...

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Just thought I would post some quick pics of the current workspace and the current state of disassembly. I'm in the process of doing what I like to think of as a function over form wiring tuck. I will be posting more in depth about this and some small engine bay "shaving" in their appropri...

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Well I finally did something to my car for the first time in 6 months! Removed the fenders, front bumper, headlights and corner lights. Also started removing the front electrical harness. Tomorrow hopefully is dash removal and then I need to figure out where I'm going to relocate the front fuse box ...

Not to be one of these guys but you really need to search, almost all of your questions have previously been answered, some with pretty good step by step posts.

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Back on topic, I finally got to push my car into my garage...its awsome to be able to say that, "my garage". Anyway, its going on stands here soon and I'm going to start cleaning the engine bay. The dash is coming out soon and I'm going to do alot of rewiring in the engine bay. I was check...

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Yea, it took me 2 weeks of test drives, water leak tests, and windshield condensation comparisons with 2 brand new off the lot O/B's to satisfy my service writer, manager and the customer that it was a normal condition. All with SOA breathing down my neck cuz they didn't want the car to be elegable ...

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Yea everyone always told me that but I never listened haha. I also feel like working at a dealership with the people I did crushed all my motivation. They were all good people but the Subaru demographic has changed a lot in the last few years, at least where I worked, and the new types of people are...

Re: Radiator fans, heating and cooling

Damnet Logan you can ask your brother and I these questions, it's not like I was a master tech or we both went to tech school or anything, lol. But to answer your question the A/C fans will cycle on and off with the A/C pump and on our cars the pump runs continuously with the defrost on. So even tho...

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Even though I said I was going to try and not do this, the project has stalled a bit. Funny how stuff like cars gets put by the wayside when you buy your first house lol. But I've changed jobs and am no longer working on subaru's for a living (now its boats) and for some inexplicable reason I'm find...

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

I was going to use Action Machine, the did the work on my roommates brothers block and I was very impressed with their surface finishing, and, of corse, they are able to use a torque plate. As for balancing I was going to use a place in Arlington WA called Dynamic Balancing. I have it on good author...

Well my pistons and rods finally showed up! We've had a very busy couple of weeks after the wife's settlement, running around paying everyone that we need to. We just bought a truck (I can finally give my roommate his car back lol). But work is going well and I should be able to get this stuff to th...

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Yea thats why I need to make a decision about it soon. It's just money lol, but I'm planning on getting a bigger turbo sooner than later so I think I might upgrade, I'm currently running a Fidanza lighweight flywheel with OEM 02 WRX disc and pressure plate.

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Well over the last couple of days I've had my WRX harness and cylinder heads show up. The heads are a little rough but I'm going to have them decked anyway and the messed up valve cover bolt holes can be helicoiled or nutserted (gigidy). But the important thing is that the cams and valves are in goo...

Sounds like you have it all fugured out! I'd say go for it, with the torque if that motor I bet that would be an absolute blast in a RWD car, even if it is supposed to have front drive axles : )

Re: Stage 0 rebuild and Rob Tune (now with stroker build ins

Wow those look like they would work better than what we have honestly lol. Our stuff at the shop is thrashed from past techs that didn't know how to use them or just didn't care.
