Re: Discrepancy in ej20g ECU pinout/4 channel ignition
Dank & Mike, Just to clarify, and hopefully this can answer your questions and help with a smooth and more importantly correct install, yes there is a discrepancy between the EJ20G FSM from Subaru and the Haltech diagram. What has caused confusion on the FSM in the past is the assumption that th...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Thanks. I would love to offer some of these patch harnesses up for sale but by the time you add up the overall cost of a used loom, socket, and especially the need to outright purchase the 4to2 converter from Rob, it really does put it out of the typical build price range as you can accomplish the s...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Had to put it off for a few more days but finished last night. Patch harness de-pinned and rewired to run EJ20G along with Rob's 4-to-2 converter that I picked up on the bbs from Jeff this April (thanks again Jeff!). Big thanks to Josh and Dave for all the FSM scans and pinouts, Rob for well, everyt...

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Copying over my post from FL4T Tlegs for my bbs fam. Don't think ill ever admit how much time i've got into these but after obsessing for years I FINALLY finished finessing a jdm Lamco gauge set into my 91SS. Been running the Lamco boost gauge pretty much since i've owned the car but recently picked...

Re: Brand new, in box Subaru OEM Fenders for a first gen Leg
Been looking for a good used set but first gens have all but dried up around here and all the aftermarkets are out of stock. I am almost to the point where buying a scrap titled pre facelift from Arizona and shipping it up would be more economical. However, since I'm not quite there yet I am very in...

Interested in the converter. Would you do $50 shipped? Was it ever installed as the last one I bought was cut out of a harness and didn't leave much wire to work with.

Would you be willing to split this up? I already have a Ver.3-4 intercooler but would be interested in the BOV/PCV plumbing. Looking for anything in trade for the rally car??? PM me.

Sounds like one serious case of air lock! Glad you got it worked out of the system. If you find out any more about the postal valve throw up a quick update for posterity.

Re: Help with 91 Legacy Postal(RHD) wagon heater core
Do you know how old the coolant temp sensor is on the new engine as they are notorious for going out leading to both fans running continually??? When you say it runs hot, are you using just the fans to gauge that or are the temps above normal on the coolant temp gauge? Usually, if you have air trapp...

Re: Replacement rocker panels.
I agree with Mike. I currently have my 98 Outback in the shop up on the lift n doing new hg's and t belt and was looking at the rockers thinking the length/profile should be close to the first gens so you're not the only one Martin. I can check profiles this week but it may be the same story...my 91...

Re: Ebay 91-94 Turbo Fuel Pump Assembly
Funny thing is, I just picked up a used but in good condition (read not Michigan salt belt rusted to a pinhole leak) pump assembly from Colorado. Oh well, probably put the stock SS pump in that and then into the 2.5RS till I can upgrade.

Re: Ebay 91-94 Turbo Fuel Pump Assembly
I have a Deatschwerks DW400 that will be going into this new assembly then into my 91SS. Iv'e ran the 400 in that car and it was dead quiet until I ended up running low on a tank of gas, then it seemed to have more of a pronounced whine almost like it was cavitating just slightly due to what I figur...

Ebay 91-94 Turbo Fuel Pump Assembly
Not my auction but putting it out there with good vibes for the bbs crew...listing on Ebay right now for 2 (at this time) brand new, OEM repackaged, SOA part #42021AA080, 91-94 EJ22T fuel pump assemblies listed as Carter/Federal Mogul for less than half what you would pay for through any of the suba...

Re: 1993 Legacy, diagnostic code questions
All codes are two digits. Long dashes represent the tens, then the short dashes represent the ones. Code 22 would be long flash, long flash, short flash, short flash then repeat. Hope that makes sense. Did you happen to pressure wash the engine bay prior to throwing the check engine light? It's docu...

Re: 1993 Legacy, diagnostic code questions
From your description, it sounds like it's flashing a code 22, knock sensor, which is common on the first gens if it's the original sensor due to brittleness/breakage in the harness. The following link to DLC's how to page should clear it all up:
