Need Help ASAP Halfshaft/Brake Disc problems

I was changing out my driver's side drive shaft since both cv's were toast and had to use a hammer and punch to get the old one out. Now I cannot get the new one back in. I was reading the Haynes and for installation they say repeat removal steps in reverse order. For removing the end they say if yo...

I say leave the axle be. Let it tear itselft to shreds and wait until you can do option number one in VRG3 post. Whenever the joint area is contaminated you might as well write the axle off. Dirt will increase the wear of the joint quite a bit. I've been driving around on a totally dry driver's sid...

I plan on going. I have a feeling there is going to be a strangely large amount of tickets from the US to central Mexico this year. I wonder if there is any cheap way to get from Cancun to the city the rally is in. It's always cheap to fly to the coast of Mexico, but from my research so far, somewha...

That's the car and those are the tires. Sounds like a pretty good price for a set of tires. You'll have to tell me what you think after racing on them. Our ice races are in question for this year. May have to go up and play with the jeeps in Georgetown.

Grew up in sledding heaven so have too many stories to even begin telling any. To this day though I can not drink hot chocolate unless I've been outside in <20 degree weather for at least two hours or it just doesn't taste as good. Come to think of it, I don't think I've had a cup of hot chocolate s...

I used my cordless impact wrench today for the first real time. We switched a wheel from the front left to the rear right using two jacks and a spare to put on one while the other was off. Discount Tires put the wrong tires on the wrong side (directional tread) and they naturally were opposite corne...

Hmmm... Only 10 k eh. That looks like a blast. There is some talk about a new ice racing series here in CO for rally cars. We have something like 30 teams in the state now with rally cars, and one just happens to be the owner of the Bridgestone Winter Driving School in Steamboat Springs, and the org...

2004 WRX's have sunroofs as an option. The leather and sunroof are both aftermarket. Figure about $1200 for a sunroof and $1000 for the leather was probably the dealer's invoiced cost on this. We did it to a few cars at the dealership I worked at. They have a pretty sweet STI right now with an aweso...

I usually have always stuck with Craftsman but am starting to like Harbor Freight. I bought a $119 19.2V Cordless Impact Wrench with a two year guaranteed replacement warranty for $20 last week. 220 pounds of torque. Takes off lugs without a problem. One guy said he tested the battery life and got 7...

I grew up with FWD in my old 81 Subaru DL in Wyoming where we have snow all winter long on the roads and my current Legacy is FWD too. It outhandles almost every "AWD" SUV and minivan on the road. Other Subaru's or Audi's with AWD are another story however. I use Nokian Hakkapileeta 10s an...

Hehe. I worked stage on the Colorado Cog Club Rally and we closed off stage 4 3 hours before the first car was out. We had my Legacy and were in the bottom of a ravine with it. You like that pic eh. I'm a true artist. I don't NEED a vent to atmosphere BOV for my rally car but I do need a BOV and with this method I can easily change between the two and determine which method maximizes power output. If it happens to be to atmo. I can leave it recirc most of the time and swit...

Jason- I think that's probably the idea but in reality, more due to the addition of two rounds in different continents, most of the teams won't have additional drivers that have the kind of support that they've had in the past because they'll be focusing mostly on their current "points" dr...

Okay, I've searched through the forums and here's the post I'm referring back to for any who don't know. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=989 So the issue is getting the "vent to atmosphere pssshhhhh" sound but not have the issue of running rich, like crap, etc when drving arou...

I figured they'd probably scoop up McRae since he's available. Still have a team comprised of two former world champions. The really bad thing about this new system is it kinda screws the up and coming drivers. Do you think Markko, Seb, or Solberg would have become some of the top drivers if they'd ...

Greg Donovan posted an octane question on special stage a few weeks ago. It had some pretty good responses and I learned alot from it. I now run 100 AKI octane from Sunoco in my Colt and it runs much better than it did on 91. The 4.20/gallon is kinda rough but I hardly drive it. Anyhow, here is the ...
