Re: How do I get to my spedometer cable?

Alrighty so a bit of an update. A big thank you to everyone who helped in this, I ended up pulling apart that adapter piece and taking the whole cable out. Here is where I might have messed up.... and probably caused myself a big headache. I was consulting a Chilton manual and was working on it with...

front left. From my understanding the fronts go out often because of turning so much or turning the wheel too tight.

Re: Just how long can you drive on a torn CV boot?

How long is your trip? I've driven one about 1,000 miles on a joint that was clicking going straight. I smeared grease in there when I got started, which probably helped things. ohh yeah not that long. it isn't even clicking yet either. I'm looking at maybe 300 or so miles. I was thinking of smeari...

Re: How do I get to my spedometer cable?

My speedo cable broke last week. I thought it was behind the gauges but after removing the cluster i found it to be fine. Turned out the metal piece that inserts into the transmission snapped off. Check that first since its a lot easier than ripping the cluster out. Its a real bitch trying to get t...

Just how long can you drive on a torn CV boot?

I'm gonna be taking my Legacy on a pretty long trip here pretty soon, I have no idea how to change the CV boot or axle even myself, so I was wondering if maybe it will be safe? it doesn't "click" or anything when turning or anything like that. Was sort of thinking maybe at least just for t...

How do I get to my spedometer cable?

 Yeah...sorry for the newb question. I haven't really ever worked on my Legacy before, but right now the speedometer is sort of making a "chugging" noise and the needle is shaking a little bit. I at least think that this is the issue, but I'm going to be driving my Legacy to the beach...

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)

I really like your wheels, man. They look freakin good on there. Thanks, man. Unfortunately I sold them though, the tires on them were sort of shot, and the little 14" rims that are original to the car had brand new Toyos on them, so I sold off the Forester rims and went back to my hubcaps lol...

Re: Who Wants to Play a Game? (Color Codes)

Alright I'll play. 1993, Teal Metallic #281 I think Teal Metallic was like one of the most common colors wasn't it? I seem to just see loads of L AWD Teal Metallics running around lol. http://i411.photobucket.com/albums/pp197/legacy22t/021-2.jpg http://i411.photobucket.com/albums/pp197/legacy22t/017...

Re: Teal Metallic gets new shoes

digging the forester rims, i may need to upgrade my wagons caps for these. Awesome, you should be able to find them for pretty cheap, my friend originally was trying to sell them for like $130 for all four or something like that, with tires on them. I know I've seen the nicer legacy rims selling fo...

Teal Metallic gets new shoes

Yep, so thought I'd post some update shots and a vid of the new shoes. They're off a 1999 Forester S I believe. My friend gave them to me off of his 95 Impreza when he got better rims. Seem to ride a whole ton nicer than the 14" stock steelies on economy tires, though now the legacy pulls a bit...

Cool to see! congrats on the new wagon! As for the color being rare, it kinda isn't. what is odd though is the back hatch, it looks like the original hatch but the rear badging is from a 1990-1991 legacy wagon. What is rare however is your interior combination, from the pictures it's looking like it...
