Re: Installing rob tune chip into 20g ecu
Yes I just wanted to show an example of what the socket looked like . So some 20 g Ecu’s already have the socket and some don’t ? Mine is a 7D .

Installing rob tune chip into 20g ecu
I got a rob tune chip used from someone here on the board and I was wondering about installing it. My ecu looks like it already has a socket http://www.alcyone.org.uk/ssm/SP_A0079a.jpg . Is that the correct socket in the bottom right corner . Or do I have to solder in a different IC socket ? Also th...

tell the difference between vf8 and vf10 without the number?
I inherited a vf8 or 10 but the number is worn off so I don't know what it is . I compared it to my td04 and everything is slightly bigger . Also it has 9 exhaust blades vs my td04s 11 or 12 blades. Thanks for any help .

Re: Usdm 96 hla dohc heads on 2.2 t gasket and other questio
Well I got the gaskets that you used in the mail today my bearings and rings come on Friday . So we will see , I am skeptical about the longevity of the gaskets with the bigger combustion chamber . Thank you for all your help . It is cool to hear that you can feel a bit more power .

Re: Usdm 96 hla dohc heads on 2.2 t gasket and other questio
Has anyone else made these heads work ? I read on another thread on here to use the phase 2 2.5 head gaskets ? It would be great to get some more input before I bolt the heads on . Thanks

Re: Usdm 96 hla dohc heads on 2.2 t gasket and other questio
My car has turbo back exhaust td04 at 15 or so psi and a forester intercooler . Also a ton of suspension and brake mods . It just scares me the the 2.2 head gasket is slightly smaller bore than the combustion chamber on the heads . Do you know anyone else who has done this with the 96 heads ? Thank ...

Usdm 96 hla dohc heads on 2.2 t gasket and other questions.
I have searched quite a bit on here and haven't found exactly what I am looking for . Will I have head gasket issues with the big combustion chamber of the 96 hla head ? Can I use a thinner gasket to help compression? Some one built these heads and tapped them for turbo lines and I am building my mo...

non turbo harness into a turbo questions
We are going to re wire a friends 93 turbo wagon and I have a few questions. I pulled the harness that goes through the firewall from a junkyard its a 93 non turbo harness. Re: 440 Grey injector into stock fuel rail questions
Thank youfor the reply. I did a similar thing. I got them to stop leaking today but it is still misfiring and I am going to put the stock injectors back in until I can find a Rob tune. Also I have low compression 100 psi in cylinder 1 that I found today so that is the miss fire issue I am sure... Gu...

440 Grey injector into stock fuel rail questions
Does anyone have a picture of a Grey top 440 with the correct one rings to fit into a 92 ej22t rail. I read the thread about it and link to the pictures don't work. I put mine in and believe it has an internal fuel leak. It runs way way way to rich. It's blowing a tone of fuel vapor out the exhaust....

Replacement options for factory 5 speed on a 92 legacy turbo
My transmission is making some noise and its getting to be pretty loud. What are good replacement options since that is such a rare transmission. I could easily find a 4.11 from an outback or a 3.9 from a na legacy but to my understanding the turbo gears in my current gear box are taller and I don't...

03 wrx spring and struts on a 92 legacy ss
So I picked up some bug eye sedan struts and Springs. I have a 92 legacy ss. I can't find a picture of someone with the same setup. My questions are 1. Will it have the saggy rear end? 2. Do I have modify anything or can I just bolt them in? 3. How much will they change ride hight? Sent from my SM-G...

Re: Stock 22t issues
Could that residue keep it from reading correctly and keep it from boosting? I'll clean it with maf cleaner tomorrow and see if that helps.

Re: Stock 22t issues
I reset the ecu and have driven it for a few days it's hitting 6psi at wot in 4th and 5th gear. I will check for vacuum leaks later today but it was boosting perfectly before the timing belt issues that's the weird part. I did take the mas air sensor out and cleaned it when I did the belt I don't kn...

Stock 22t issues
So this weekend my timing belt jumped a tooth and I put it back together and it runs very smooth it just feels like it's in limp mode. It hits 5psi at wot and it was hitting 8 or 9 before. It feels just like limp mode but there is no cel. Any suggestions on where to start? Oh and it has a new fuel p...
