I noticed a while ago while watching this episode of seinfeld that there is a 91 turbo legacy featured a few times in it...along with an SVX.

are you sure that the leak is coming from the actual head, or somewhere else? took me about a month to do my head gaskets. mainly becuase i was waiting for parts to come in. then i decided to do a valve job, so i had to wait on the 8 new exhaust valves and valve guide seals to come in. then i had th...

If I were you, I would just replace the knock sensor with the new one if you're getting the code for a faulty knock sensor. My car is faster when cold, but i don't drive hard at all until the temp is up to normal. Even when the temp guage reads 1/4 if i go over 3,000-3,500 rpm i can see the guage qu...

2nd gear's synchro is typically the first to go on any car because of people shifting into it in anticipation of a corner, not bothering to notice that they're going 40mph at the time, so the synchro has to work overtime. Never thought of it that way. I do know some people that do that. I always pu...

definitely looks like a dremel did that. Maybe someone was trying to polish the intake with their dremel and realized that it wouldn't work. there are so many possibilities. :!: :?: it seems like that would create some drag. but it looks like someone has definitely been in there before with a dremel...

If you're talking about overall ease of working on the engine, those have to be one of the harder cars to work on... Depending on the honda you may have to take the power steering pump, and sometimes even the passenger CV joint out just to change the alternator. Also, good luck changing the timing b...

I would guess that it is something oil pressure related with the lifters.

http://www.endwrench.com/current/winter ... Repair.pdf on page 2 it talks about pushing on the rocker arms to check for air.
you could try that.

if you have the fold down seats like me you are lucky. i replaced the pump on my friend's 91 L which doesnt have the fold down seats and it was hard to get the phillips screws out. that makes things a bit harder. Even without fold down seats, it can still be done without taking the back seat out. I ...

it also took me about 3 hours to put my STi mounts in..... if i were to do it again i could probably get it done in 1-1.5 hours. i just carefully jacked up the engine almost as far as it would go.... i saw the cv joints but didn't care about them too much. i reached all the bolts including the rear ...

when my speedo stopped working, i unscrewed the plastic retainer from the transmission and disconnected the shorter of the two cables and turned one end of it and noticed that the other end didn't turn. most likely, one of your two cables are broken and need to be replaced. I would do what mk750 sug...

i would check the usual stuff (radiator, fans, hoses, fluid level, thermostat, etc...) also, while the car is running, check the coolant reservoir for small bubbles coming from the bottom every couple of seconds. although it wouldn't overheat, my coolant reservoir would have bubbles and it turned ou...

after a year or so of driving with the snorkus out, i put it back in for some reason... I had a cheap flowmaster put in for $100 which included installation (wasn't looking for any performance increase, i just wanted a cheap new muffler since my stock one was rusting through). its kinda loud with th...

I'm gonna be 18 for about another 5 months. My mom gave me her 86 nissan stanza 3-speed AT when i was 14 after she got her 99 mazda protege. The stanza came complete with leaking moonroof, cracked windshield, and the AC worked when it wanted to. After putting about $400 into it, i decided to sell it...

I am the ONLY one in all of Florida that I know of that gives a rat's behind about BC-BF's. Everyone else uses them as daily transportation, without caring (or, in many cases, maintaining :x ) about them one bit. You forgot about ME!!! :) ....but i know what you mean...
