SS brake lines question
I think that these will work but I wanted confirmation before I bought them. I think that I will just have to zip tie them to the struts (which I already do). The ones in question are the 02 - on WRX ones. Thanks http://www.fastwrx.com/teststbrlibl.html I know that these mainly help with pedal feel ...

Re: Rear Differential Bushings Write-Up w/Part Number :) 90-
These went in quite easily after using the hacksaw bushing removal thing. I will know how much they help after the race this weekend.

I was able to just tap out the threads so I didn't need the helicoils. Good to know though.

How much torque can a helicoil take?
I messed up some of the threads on one of the bolt holes while putting my ALK in. I am going to try to fix them with at tap but if that doesn't work then I will probably have to helicoil it. Will helicoils hold a 182 ft/lbs? I don't want to screw it up more or loose a bolt while at a rallycross.

Re: N/A 4wd clutch replacement.
I changed mine out with a OEM replacement Valeo clutch. I wanted the Exedy one but I had to use what I could get on short notice ( I was stranded at my parents in MS where the guy at the parts store said "what's a Subaru?"). I rallycross on mine and it is holding up fine so far. I think th...

Leaking everywhere.
I don't know if this should be in engine or drivetrain... move it if it's wrong. If you look in my engine bay everything is nice and brown except my power steering reservoir and my brake fluid reservoir. They are both leaking. I imagine that the seals are giving up the ghost after almost 18 years an...

Re: ALK and other bushing questions.
Will the KCA359 ALK work on our cars? I might have found one for a decent price. What about the Perrin PSRS ones? Any experience with those. I am going to try to search the forums for a bit before buying from a dealer.

ALK and other bushing questions.
So when I went to change my gear oil the other day I noticed that there was fluid leaking from the back of the A arm. After the rallycross yesterday I looked and it is really coming out now and there is some clunking coming from that side when I shift while accelerating hard. So I believe that I hav...

I am not sure but coming from a GD frame the WRX seats are going to be higher than the stock ones. I know my STI seats are.

Re: I guess that I need stiffer springs.
So... I got a pair of front 06 WRX springs from a friend and have yet to put them on because I am trying to figure out if I am going to have to change anything. From what I understand I can just swap the springs without changing any parts. Is this correct? I have also been told that swapping to 06 s...

I need an exhaust leak fix.
This is to all my ghetto-fabricating brethren. I need to fix my exhaust leak. The flange(s) at the axleback section of my exhaust are warped which leaks and makes my car sound like it is about to sneeze during acceleration. I know that I could cut off the flanges and weld on new ones or just cut the...

I've got some WRX springs of various vintages that'll bolt right in and give a bit more spring rate.
Where are you located?

I guess that I need stiffer springs.
I am doing much better in my BF than I (or anyone else) ever thought I would. There are some things that need to be changed though. I need to upgrade my brakes, find about 100 horses, and do some suspension upgrading. I am going to upgrade everything eventually - maybe some STI struts and some King ...

Re: I need more powerrrrrr! (NA stuff)
Looking at some pictures from this weekend I definitely need new springs. I had so much body roll it was ridiculous. I did however get 4th on Sat and 3rd on Sun so I think that the brake and suspension upgrades would be what I need to get to the top. If I hadn't nailed that cone (and I mean nailed i...

Re: I need more powerrrrrr! (NA stuff)
I'm rallycrossing. I am running no rear sway which seems to be about where I want it for oversteer. I changed the struts to GR-2s and I am going to be getting Koni Yellows... sometime (friend is apparently a dealer). I am still looking for a good option for springs. I definitely want to upgrade my b...

Castrol 10w-30 (dead dinosaur type) and Purolator filter. I usually like to change my oil after a race so like once a month. Always worked well for me.
( I change it every 3k in the off months)

I am wanting to do an engine swap in my car but do to logistical factors and a school that is sucking my bank account dry, it looks like it will be awhile. Was the roof rack an option?
I am thinking of repainting my car in the near future and other than a turbo hood and 2nd gen wing I want to get rid of that horrible roof rack. Was that an option for wagons coming out of the factory in 94? I ask because if it wasn't I will have to bump up a class in RX because it would be consider...

Re: '94 L AWD clutch? (will a '06 WRX clutch fit?)
From what I have read the added extra strength of the pressure plate on the WRX clutch could cause the Legacy release fork to snap (it apparently happens a lot with the RS guys). The 06 WRX fork is much beefier. I didn't want to risk it since I am not going to be nice to my clutch (rallycross).

So got done changing the valve cover gaskets today and there is a weird noise now. It might have been there before but I don't remember it. Can anybody identify what the high pitched noise is when the revs drop? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HW6SXpdrII&feature=player_embedded (sorry can't figu...

Re: Is this a PITA? (valve cover removal)
OK wasn't sure. The sideways motor thing is still new to me. I didn't think that there would be much oil but I wanted to check before I pulled one off and went "dammit" as oil poured out everywhere.
