Re: RIP 92SS, accident, possible salvage title?
Damn, I wanted it... Well I haven't signed the title over just yet, thats what i was just about to do.... i could still request a salvage title but would immediately become responsible for the car and i have no way to do anything with it. Got any ideas? I'd much rather this went as a parts car to y...

Re: RIP 92SS, accident, possible salvage title?
I asume the tranny is for an AWD? -Sucks about your loss! Yep, the tranny is AWD 4EAT automatic. Was still workin just fine up until the moment of impact, no idea if it survived the accident intact really. There's also a boost gauge in there I didn't get out; some junkyard hunter is going to have a...

Re: RIP 92SS, accident, possible salvage title?
Thanks for the replies guys, was helpful and appreciated. I got them up to $2750 and am taking that offer. Still makes me sad but at least I can use this money to help make my 94SS better. I have absolutely no place to put the car or I'd get the salvage title and the car back, so I had to just let t...

RIP 92SS, accident, possible salvage title?
So, I'm still not sure at all how this all works here in OR... but my poor 92 SS was totalled (as far as I can tell, insurance adjustor due Monday (tomorrow) to check it out) in an accident recently. I have not really been able to inspect under the hood at all, but hopes are not very high. This was ...

Re: Good inexpensive bypass valve possible solution (even at
Found what appears to be the same bypass valve I found linked from another post stating they run these valves all the time with 500HP and have had zero problems with them. Google Shopping Bosch bypass valve ...and it looks like I can end up with one of these ordered online (not over the phone like t...

Good inexpensive bypass valve possible solution (even atmosp
So.... I am currently running a Greddy Type S blowoff valve (yeah, I know.. I changed over to the HKS SSQV several years ago when I realized how badly this Type S leaked, but the HKS valve has since developed a leak of its own so here I am)... and of course i suspect it of leaking. Intercooler pipin...

This is true. I figured I'd have to have them decked anyway but that isn't helping things.mike-tracy wrote:Cheaper than what I spent. But... thats pretty messed up to put the mating surfaces of those heads on the cement like that.

Re: Free5ty1e's 1991 Legacy SS 5MT
Wait... the EJ20K heads dont require a special ECU to run, right? Can I run a Robtune setup on EJ20K heads or do I need an EJ20K ECU and entire electrical setup...? I suppose I should figure that out before going any further, lol Edit: I'm also guessing that if these are STi heads, perhaps the yello...

Free5ty1e's 1991 Legacy SS 5MT
Here is the official build thread for my 1991 Subaru Legacy Sport Sedan 5MT. Quick backstory on this car: Purchased in 2006 for $1000 in good running condition from Ogden, UT. Found sale on this board's car lot. Brought another driver from Elko, NV (residence at the time) there, ~4 hour road trip ea...

Re: 2nd annual beatersubi beers&brats meet
Yeah they are super fun... ive flown several different models of varying cost and i feel the most confident with this little guy, mainly because im not overly worried about it. Worst case, it costs me $65 on amazon prime to get a replacement. Meanwhile, my Parrot 2 is collecting dust because i inevi...

Only the ones taken with a phone. The quadcopter has a 2 MP camera and no mic (all you would hear is an angry bee sound anyway). It is called the Hubsan X4 if you want details. Its a low end copter lol

Re: 2nd annual beatersubi beers&brats meet
Yep! Need to find me a dohc head / intake manifold setup, and some slightly oversized pistons and matching rings since the cylinder walls could use a bore.
