stock = the suck! I've done more customizing on my legacy......some to personalize it.....some to make it perform better. But I do like to think I've improved upon the original platform. Hey...Mine is stock. The only mods I have are slight body changes that seem to be interferring with the areodyna...

Well, yes it IS hard to improve upon the legacy, but even my minor suspension modifications have done wonders for the performance of the vehicle around corners(that's what it was built for, sort of). I just figured there's no reason NOT to add minor performance gains if they're at all possible. If ...

Hello Laurel, Interesting post...But I'm not sure of your tone...or the subliminal meaning... All I'm trying to say is that Subarus, particular the legacy, are in general an advanced and refined piece of hardware that short of major modifications cannot dramatically be improved upon. Get out a copy ...

I maintain the idea that there just isn't enough difference to justify the expense beyond the cheap aftermarket rotors at NAPA and a generic pad kit. Keep it cheap and simple and change them often. The high edge for this car is sharp enough to justify the expenses your looking at. If you want to dum...

I'm in the same boat. I picked up a WRX exhaust real cheap on ebay. Someone here showed me a series of picures where they adapted it to a Legacy so I know its possible. They had to weld in an extension just ahead of the muffler about 4-5 " long. It also wasn't clear if the flanges matched. The ...

What model and year is it? I had the same sound for a while and it was a weld on the Y-pipe that cracked. I Mineke touched up the weld and the sound went away. It cost me about $40.

Go ahead and buy them. I use them on my car and there is absolutely no noticeable difference. I have squeezed as much as 130K out of a set without turning them. They are so cheap just replace them when the pads go.

I have them on my Mustang. Go their and poke around. Strangely the smaller size (205/55ZR16) actually costs more.

I just bought a set of Falken FH-451's (225/55ZR16) at ustireoutlet.com $70.04 each with $65 delivery for the set of 4 to New England. Awesome tire regardless of the price, but the price is an absolute steal! Keep away from onlinetires.com! What a bunch of A-Holes. I tried to call them for 4 days an...

When I last bought rotors I picked them up at NAPA. I bought them in NH so there awas no sales tax and I think they were $30 ea for the front and $28 for the back. Why bother turning them they when are practically cheaper than the pad kit? Don't mess around with the brakes...Do them right!

I've done this on my kitchen engine and took about 5 mins/side. Of course it would take longer with the engine in the car, but it shouldn't be too hard as there should be enough room to get some wrenches in there easily. Steve I could help but read your subtitle on not working. I lost my job today ...

Tires are an almost perpetual battle for Subarus since they go such long distances. The stock size on my 94 legacy is 185/70HR14. After the stock RE92 wore out (about 52K) I switch to the Dunlop D60A2 (could push a set past 50K). I increased the size to 195/70HR14 ( the 1994 Toyota Camry OEM tire). ...

I am wondering why you would need them. We get quite a bit of snow here in New England and I live on a big hill where the town has to send front end loaders to plow the street. 2002 WRX exhaust system

I picked up a 2002 WRX midpipe and muffler at the amazing price of $18 on eBay. I need to know if it will fit on my 94 non-turbo Legacy. I had to recently replace my y-pipe and had to settle for an aftermarket piece I also got on eBay. Any ideas? Also, the car has 345K and needs a clutch and is tick...
