Legacy Spec-B (UK Wagon) Shootout vs. Volvo V5 T50 AWD (Fift

Its a bittorrent of the whole episode, and the shootout is about half way through. Cool stuff, heaps of praise for the Spec-B :D

Its worth it when your rear brakes go bad and you spend the extra cash at that time to upgrade.

The vented rear brakes are cool and all, but too small. I hope the 05 brakes do turn out to be a financially reasonable upgrade...

Quick question, I remember conversations about the valvetrains in like the 96 heads being lighter or something and perhaps worth a couple extra HP for earlier motors... Anything ever come out of this?

Yup, you need the caliper too. Same goes for the rears if you want to do an H6 rotor swap... Need the calipers.

I wonder about the new 05 brakes...

Hmm, I like the crank information, very good stuff. About the pulleys, there are not any "harmonics" invovled, there is an official statement from subaru floating around NASIOC about it. Its just a pulley. Personally, I had an Underdrive pulley, and switched it out for a stock sized pulley...

The best thing to do, is go up to wentworh springs road when the snow melts and let her rip :D That, or go to a track day or autocross... Get it out of your system (seriously, it helps)

Forgot to mention, I saw a EJ22 air/water intercooled Impreza L at the I-club Buttonwillow track day, but it was using an oil cooler of all things in the trunk to cool the water. Took some pics :) http://community.webshots.com/photo/128019332/136682581iBkDQB http://community.webshots.com/photo/12801...

Just so you guys know the stock Legacy W/A IC flows more air than any stock top mount Air/Air with the inlet pipe Subaru has ever made (except one). You know, I think ive noticed that... Its got a very good air flow system set up thats going to be able to push a nice amount of air, probably pretty ...

Ok, but the one I had before looks like its about 1/4th the flow of the pump/intercooler in terms of size http://community.webshots.com/photo/112421958/115751865JjMZQS So from what you are saying, I would need 4 of those... But it is a good idea, and I could probably do that and get by without a res...
