I use Valvoline 80W90 SynBlend gear oil in my diff and manual tranny. The only problem I had changing mine was how stiff the plugs can get!

The fact that I've never seen a washer on the drain plug might have something to do with it ... However, just on a lark, I bought a new drain plug and it didn't come with a washer...

oh, okay, i took the airbox off and replaced it with a cone filter, and you need an adaptor fot that. Actually, I haven't taken the thing out of the fender yet!

If I've been incorrectly referring to the airbox itself as the snorkus, then just be assured i know now !

You will have to put a nut on the end of the bolt to hold the adaptor on; you don't need that with the snorkus. You might do good with rubber washers, too. So GC8 top hats will fit the body, strut, and H&R spring? You guys have said anything that fits an Impreza will probably fit a Legacy, so I guess it could work. I looked on the Teague's Auto site and they have MRT and STi top hats. Anyone know if those fit BC-BF's?

Just so everybody knows, the H&R springs featured on tirerack.com do not fit BC Legacies, at least the 4WD ones. I found this out after my whole rear suspension was apart, and I have to return the springs now!
