Yeah, ideally a coolant/water mix. If you need to though, just water is ok, as it doesn't hold a huge amount.

I've been guessing an early STi, based on the coolant reservoir, and the power steering cooler lines.

The silver one mounted to the intake should be full. The small, white one should be somewhere between the 2 marks on the side of it. If I remember right (I can check later this week), the small white one should be connected to a slightly larger one inside the fender well, by a short piece of hose (t...

From what I remember, that all looks right. How high is the coolant level in your overflow bottle? That little one with the cap should be connected to a larger bottle in the fender well (you can see the hose that leads to it in the second picture - the one with the clamp). Its possible that hose is ...

Just stick your existing cable in the new tranny. It'll work fine.

^ That is true.

I've worked with the Hydra system, and while it is an impressive piece of hardware, you're left to figure stuff out for yourself when it doesn't run properly. From what I've been able to figure out, the only time you'll see a CEL out of it is if it detects knocking.

For the TGV's, I think you can remove the CEL using ECUTEK. Otherwise, you have to find a way to bolt the motor to the sensor, so that the ECU sees the proper feedback. I think APS mass produces such a coupler. For the PS, i think it signals the ECU to raise the idle when necessary (ie full lock). I...

If these aren't off the intake harness, but the car harness, then I would say the square single wire goes to the starter, and the other 2 are to the brake master cylinder and the ABS sensor on that side.

If they're off the intake, then I have no idea....

Do you have an aftermarket downpipe that might be keeping the wastegate partially shut? I dunno... Trying to figure this out as well.

Any of the Legacy years will fit, provided its the correct transmission type. For tools, if you're going to pull the driveshaft, a 14mm socket for the centre bolts, as well as that plate that protects where it bolts to the diff, and a 12mm wrench and either a small pry bar or large screwdriver to un...

Tie rod should be pretty obvious to see if its bent using a ruler or other straight edge. Check your control arms, as well as where they mount to the body and engine cradle.

And yeah, that strut looks pooched.

Hard to tell otherwise from those pictures. Sorry.

Yeah, I thought twin scroll stuff had dual inlets on the exhaust side, at the very least. That looks like any old turbo to me, aside from the compressor outlet.
