I asked them about making me a key and they said they don't make keys there for older cars and they could give me the lock number to take to a locksmith and have a key made but that's it. Maybe they're lacking equipment or something, but that sounds like some bullshit and/or a lazy parts guy to me....

That number on the key is the number you can give to the dealer to have them make you a brand new key. Don't lose that key/number. The dealer can also look up the ignition / key code from your VIN. Thats how they're able to cut a new one from code ;) If you're not unlucky, yes. I was told that anyt...

It was explained to me that the issue is due to the small range of adjustment in the clutch. If you take off just a bit too much, you can end up with a chattering or generally poorly adjusted clutch. My own opinion is that if you think the car is ready for a new clutch, put in a new flywheel as well...

Try to find a used pulley that's in good shape. People take off the stockers all the time so it should not be that hard. I'm not sure which models that part crosses over with but I'm sure you can find one without any work. Resurfacing Subaru flywheels is pretty much not a good idea. Yes, people have...

So you're probably gonna have to do the throttle body spacer with the EJ22T throttle body too? If there's one thing I've learned from this engine swap is no matter how much you think you've got it planned out there's always a shit load more stuff you will miss that you have to do and/or buy to get ...

I've got early EJ20G heads and an EJ20G manifold that will be going on my EJ22T block in my 91. I'm decent at soldering, but not awesome. Thanks for the tips. I'm going to practice a bit before I start in on mine, but I've still got a few parts to buy before I can finalize my plan. My intake manifol...

How is that the biggest risk? What if you roll your car or hit a tree? I think the difference is those posts were talking rally cross, not rally. I haven't seen a rally cross course that had too many unforgiving parts of the track or hard obstacles. Yeah, there are risks, but I think Jamal meant it...

(CO) 1998 LGT with STI Swap
Cross-posting this from some other forums I'm on in case anyone is interested. SUBA has done a ton of swaps and they know their stuff. They're one of the shops I trust to do work that I don't want to do myself. SUBA Performance is selling a (2004 STI) swapped 1998 Forest Green Legacy 2.5GT sedan. 14...
