I replyed to the other post ;)

135$USD is what i paid for the custom pistons, including pins, locks, rings.

be sure to mesure your worst cylinder before ordering your custom oversized pistons! And verify with your machineshop what oversize they prefer work with. (.20mm, .25mm.. )

In fact, Forged pistons are about the same price as OEM ones, especially if it's a set "off the shelf".

for custom, CP Pistons was asking, if i remember right, 135$USD per piston, rings, pins, locks included.

stock pistons are like 80$ each + rings($$) + pins + locks.

After some googling it seems to be the turbos from an EJ20H rated for 260 PS. Came in GT's (auto or man) and GT-B's, RS's (auto only) Right on .. EJ20K , EJ20H and EJ20R were TwinTurbo-ed. I have those heads on my engine, I measured the valve lift at 8.2mm in and ex wich is pretty near the STI head...

The easyest way to do the swap :

1 - remove your 1.8l engine,
2 - Separate the Intake manifold and swap them (put the ENTIRE 1.8l Intake manifold on the 2.2T engine)
3 - Swap the 2.2l in the car
4 - direct connect the 1.8l ECU onto the engine
5 - use SAFC to correct fuel maps ;)

As for gas, I use 92 octane with a gallon or two of tolulene, THAT is octane booster (114) , dont bother with that off the shelf crap.
Why don't you try and build a stronger base ?

Why don't you try the 10-40 oils ?

I personnaly use Motul 8100 5w40 winter (but should try the 0w50)

For gas, only 91 available here so.. no choice :|

A little acceleration

Hi ! it's been a while since I last posted here but i always come take a look around here. here is a little video I made to evaluate the acceleration times of the car.. we were 3 onboard and the car was boosting 10psi at about -15 °c outside temp ... If that can encourage to continue with all your e...

Only bad-side of the 16G is it's tendency for boost-creeping. I've been experiencing some boost creeps on cold weather from 10psi, rising up to 14psi over 5000rpm. Ok that's not a big problem since my setup can handle this no prob... but a friend here with a 95 talon has boost creeps up to 21psi ! s...

Follow the EXACT torquing procedure of the heads as written in the shop manual.

Follow the degrees.. that's how torque will be done. (the sequence is something like : torque to 25lb-ft, loosen 180deg, torque 90, torque 90... do it like they say)
