The rear bar is for the sedan... they're made for GC8 impreza... but I've got them on my car and Ben Lam has them on his 1992 sedan too.. no problems at all with the install.. you just had to hammer away at a thin slice of metal in order to get the parts where the center bar meets the two ends to jo...

Mark, if you want to get strut tower braces... I can get them through the store I work at for around $80 (Canadian) each for front and rear... I found these made a HUGE difference on my car, prolly due to age the chasis tended to twist a little... send me an email if you are interested, then we can ...

Symptoms of dying piston rings?

Alrighty... here goes. My car is eating oil, I know i've got a valve cover leak and the right main cam seal is leaking.. however, that's not the problem neither of the above leaks are any worse. I now have reason to belive that the piston rings are cooked... my symptoms are the following, please fil...

Get under the car and take a look at the rear passenger side of the engine... if the symptoms are the same as almost every other legacy out there it should be soaked in oil... this will be the problem. It's the cam seal back there... they leak like mofos, and never get serious. I talked to a subaru ...

I love it where the redneck announcer called the Scoob a rice burner, and some guy in the crowd responded: "It's not a rice burner, it burns everything!"

:D

That was good for a laugh

Solve that tick with a cool glass of water

Last week my car started ticking... I changed the oil... still ticking. Fearing the worst I started looking in autotrader for a new car. Until... :D A friend of mine suggested this trick: Take a glass of water (tap water will work) and just pick a vaccum hose that you can unplug from a solenoid or s...

Underdrive Pulley Install question

I've read the install instructions on the legacy central mods page, but I'm curious about one aspect of it. Is it nessesarry to remove the fan and the overflow bottle if I've taken out the A/C compressor in my car? I can't see how it would make any sort of difference if I left them in. I'm just tryi...

I"m pretty sure it's the turbo now... I had the car looked at for valve cover gaskets, they fixed an oil line and told me the problem was fixed. For a few days it was, but then the smell returned, and now about three months later I"m seeing oil around the turbo and smoke... which is leadin...

1992 Turbo fit into 1991 motor?

Simple question... Will a turbo from a 1992 fit into my motor? Reason, I've been getting smoke (smells like oil) from around the base and underside of the turbo, also very sketchy boost, almost feels like the car is going slower under boost sometimes, but others... I'm back in the seat. Who knows? A...

The bigger the pipe.. the less torque you will have... simple as that. And since auto-x focuses mainly on low end torque, you wont want to go any bigger.
