There is another thing to take into consideration with grounds and that is ground loops and they can cause real problems. When all else has been checked and the problem is weird check the grounds. As an example we had two cars one a '02 WRX the other a '00 Impreza, on both the fuel warning light wou...

5 hp sounds like a lot but some people say they think they got something out of these grounding setups. I would like to see it on a dyno and if it is true I think I would take some heavy stereo power wire, solder on some terminals and build my own. It shouldn't be very hard to come up with a diagram...

I have been using the BG oil for about 35,000 miles and have no problems at all. When I first heard about this I had the same question about the diff and someone pointed out to me that the BG oil was recommended by BG for cars with tranny-diff units that shared the same oil supply. An inquiry to BG ...

The drivetrain should take it easily I have a modified EJ22t in my '95 Impreza at about 250 hp and have had no problems with the drive train at all despite my obsession with going after WRX's and things of that sort. I do have a light flywheel and ACT clutch but am using a stock 2.5RS disk with a 3:...

I thought that the valves were starting to float but I now am pretty sure that I was running out of fuel. The engine was a 2.2 in a '87 3 door coupe and all it had was a RX fuel pump. The 1.8 likes to rev even better so I thought that a 1.6 would be a screamer.

What is suprizing to me is that The EJ22t shortblock in the 450+ hp impreza is taking 30lb boost and is lasting! Whatever those pistons are made of must be pretty tough. The last thing to give a problem is the rear crossmember it is twisting from all the power and the diff is tilted. AL(CO) al@iwtu....

We don't have a WRX tank around the only complete WRX motor we have ever had went into a airplane complete. I think I looked at doing such a thing and for some reason dicided it wouldn't work or wouldn't work well. Besides anything connected with a WRX seems to go for big bucks used or new. We do ha...

EJ22t probably the best all around, if you want about the same power use a Liberty intercooler and crank up the boost for a lot more power use '98 Impreza DOHC heads add fuel and more boost.

I will have to agree that Subaru does weird things the 95-96 Legacy is an example all they did was flip the connections over left to right for no gain.
This Impreza has been converted to a EJ22 n/a engine and they are trying to get a diagram for me.

If anyone should come across any information on this I would also like to know the Bore and stroke, if it is a de-stroked 1.8 I might want one or at least the crank. The biggest problem with the stock tank besides not fitting is that they break and if it's not broken or leaking just wait it will. We have a Aluminum tank with different fittings that will fit and it takes care of the breaking issue also.

Word is that they were running 7lbs boost at low altitude and I do mean were the engine blew. 7lbs on a n/a engine is asking for trouble. The kit that is being built here in CO probably is a bit nicer it is being installed now.

A larger BOV will work better than a small one especially at high boost this is because that being larger it can handle more air in a given time. The forge valve also has different springs available for it. Mine is a earlier model with a plastic piston that is sticking and they are replacing it. If ...

From what I understand some valves will leak, probably due to the type and construction because they have optional springs available. I have run 20lbs and don't see any difference from the Bosch valve and the Forge valve with a red spring that someone said I should have.

I have fought the synchro problem in four different Subies over a period of 13 years and there is only one oil that will help the problem and that is BG Synchroshift a bit pricy but I had spent enough money on other oil that I should have had my own well.

Not really what you could be doing is sucking a lot of dirt onto the engine, circulating it through the moving parts and then filtering it out of the oil decreasing the capabilities of your oil filter. Also I have seen some of the cheaper filters shed chunks that allow even more dirt into the intake...

I had read about that and it seems to be another case of an improvement causing a problem maybe this is why some mods trigger more.
