Re: Houston Flooding
I just saw this thread. I'm glad that you're okay, Josh, and seems like you only had minimal damage from the water. And, as you probably already know, be on the lookout for mold, which can have a huge detrimental effect on a person's health. It's good that you have a landlord that takes positive act...

Re: MCM - Painting Your Intercooler Black
Interesting video. Thanks, Josh. I had read an article by an automotive engineer that was written many decades ago and it had to do with painting engine components black to keep the engine cooler (I'm using layman's terms here). To accomplish that, there were a couple of important points to keep in ...

Re: Best way to tackle wheel bearings
Thanks for the reply. What's weird is that your Nov 27 post didn't show up, which is why I asked what the fix was. Thanks for not railing on me since you had posted what the fix was and then I asked right after that what the fix was. Glad you found the problem!

It would be a good idea to show the insurance company agent this build thread of yours. It could help. Also, if you have receipts for your parts that you purchased, especially those within a year, that also may help get a higher settlement.

Re: Tony's 91 SS 29Dec R.I.P.
Wow! Unbelievable. How fast was the other driver going? That trunk is really smashed in. What was he driving? Was he drunk? It is a real credit to how well-built the Legacy is -- the passenger compartment held up very well. You must be really sore all over. Please rest up well and let us know how yo...

OUCH!!! How are you doing? I'm glad you're alive! But you must be hurting from that impact! Such a beautiful car, and yes, gave its life for you!
Reminds me of how my Legacy protected me as it got totaled.

Re: Lowering issues?
Struts in general should not change the ride height. There were some issues associated with the front end being raised while using KYB's meant for the 92-94 Legacies on the 90-91 legacies. This was caused by a difference in spring perch height. I do not know whether this was a concern with using 92...

Re: 45 degree air box, and N/A cars
The diameter of the inlet of the air box is larger in the Legacy as compared to the Impreza. I had compared both side by side some years ago when at a junkyard. Only thing is, I didn't check what year the Impreza was. I'm assuming that the factory "tuned" the diameter to the 1.8L and 2.2L ...

http://i.imgur.com/m2ZI4Sr.jpg -Jim Great restoration! Looking good! Really clean! But I already had three Lega...

Re: Amsoil Signature Series 100% Synthetic
Quick question. When I switched over, I swear my RPM's dropped between 2 and 300 at cruising speeds (70 mph). Is this possible by just changing the oil over to Amsoil? I always watch my RPM's when at different speeds so I am pretty much 100% confident in this. I would imagine it would fall into the...
