Well married life has pretty much killed my messin with cars time for the last 3 years, not to mention a one year old baby thrown in the mix, too. I didn't want to start the 33rd thread on this so here goes... I just got around to cleaning my K&N air filter, changing, the plugs, and general main...

When you look at $/HP it starts to look even better. ;-)

Josh, is there a reason you are only looking at the SM4 instead of the GC WRX drop-in box? That should eliminate most of the problems with Autronic that have been mentioned. Not to mention near plug-n-play ability. And honestly, what it comes down to is what tuner are you going to use and what are t...

'94 lost the auto up feature.

My '93 SS Sedan has it, another local member's '94 SS Sedan does not. :-D

Sounds like you need to run a tap through those threads. You can make one yourself, just cut a couple of reliefs down the threads of another bolt with the same pitch.

Holy! That was some serious air. I've never done anything that high... that I know of. There is a perfect jumping bridge in my town. The road slopes up to it very nicely. It throws you long instead of high... and pretty much perfectly level. I cleared about 80' one time in my Brat, front wheels clea...

For NA you want stock exhaust piping size. If it's a little too noisy now, just add a glasspack (as a resonator) inline on the exhaust somewhere. Should mellow out the noise a little bit, the rumble will stay. This method is tried and true. Local performance shop (Buschur) just keeps adding resonato...

Nice. Keep it up. And remember, there are going to be very bad days... ones that will just suck. But you still have to put your best foot forward and suck it up. No job is going to be perfect. Oh, and stay humble (may not be a problem having the entry job) but don't think any jobs are beneath you. J...

I'm a bit confused... I just got into the EJ series engines recently and I hear numbers in the 15's and 14 with mods. I thought I would easily be in the 13's with a few easy mods. maybe not... You'd be about low 14's with just an ECU. Throw on 3" exhaust and/or a slightly larger turbo and you ...

And get the Exedy OEM clutch. Stage 0 if you must refer to it that way. Nothing more is needed... or better. I paid way too much money out my nose to learn this by experience. If you are making some ridiculous amount of horsepower that can shred the OEM Exedy, then go straight to the twin-disc Exedy...

You can go larger turbo without EM, but you shouldn't push it. I've been running the TD05-16G for a while now, but it's pretty much running stock boost. However, you really can't do squat on the stock EM, it absolutely sucks. Everthing you just said still indicates getting EM first is the smart thi...

EM should honestly go before turbo. There are too many on here that have gone big turbo and end up selling their stuff after they blow it up too many times. It can't be stressed enough how much EM can help while keeping the car running safely. You can get more hp from EM alone (especially on the EJ2...

Once you pick up some turbo, you know you'll be tempted to throw it on... then you blow something. Or you could have your car ready to go, already making lo...

Because you have that torque converter on the other end, you wont have much throttle response. the pully will help some, but I would get a full underdrive set, not just a lightweight, stock size pully, and eliminate A/C. After all that money a 5 speed could be in. That would increase responsiveness...

Please, go back to hondas. That way there will be more unraped Subarus that weren't raced at 13 psi on the stock turbo with slipping clutches around when I look into picking another one up. Knowledge, wisdom, and experience own you. You have no way to know how "bad" your clutch is slipping...
