Scion Wheels/Tires

Post by mgjs1 »

Does anyone have Scion wheels/tires up and running? They look pretty sweet and I'm guessing there is going to be a flood on the market at some point.

Check out the pic at the bottom of this auction.

"These wheels have been modified by increasing the center bore size (by only 3 mm) to fit the Subaru's"

Sounds like a bit of work needs to be done to get em to fit.

I wouldn't use a wheel that had been machined by someone I don't know. There really isn't much difference between those and WRX rims but they do look pretty good.

I don't think wheels were meant to be hallowed out after being forged...

Oh, I didn't see that little nugget. Oh well, I was hoping for a good new wheel source to further drive down the market prices... although who can argue when WRX wheels are 350 with new tires... dats cheep.

This is a hunch but I don't think factory Scion wheels are forged.

I wish our offset was easier to find. People don't realize how much changing the srub radius of a car can affect the handling.
