it's solder, by the way. Here's a good guide:

The key points are to keep everything clean, and heat the wire, not the solder, to create the joint.

Ya, that's the key to good solder joints... you heat the wire or connector with the iron, so whatever you are soldering actually melts the solder, not the iron. The wire should melt the solder up to a few seconds after you remove the iron, if it's in your way.
Otherwise, you get a "cold joint" which will look OK, but won't conduct well, and will break easily.

what kind of stand alone is it?
stock ecu is in the passenger foot well... underneath the carpet where it starts to angle up towards the firewall

That's where it would be if were newer.....the ECU is in the dash on the drivers side, just left of the steering column on these cars.Bane wrote:stock ecu is in the passenger foot well... underneath the carpet where it starts to angle up towards the firewall

Alright So this is the deal, I guess i need a trigger board which they stopped making years ago because the ECU i bought is from the Stone age, SO my Question is, This im still running within my ECU's parameters, 440cc injectors, High flowing heads same sensors and such, Could i not just try and test start it on my stock ECU, i know i cant be tuned but from my research and in theory, There is No reason why i cant do it, Yes i might run rich but the ECU can do it, Am i right?

I haven't done it myself, no money at the moment... NICOIWRX has... stock ecu for a 91-94 series turbo legacy is tunable.
But the shop that did it is out here near Toronto. Maybe you could send the ecu in for a base map but i'm pretty sure you'd rather have it dyno tested and tuned right? Maybe they could tell you what to ask your local tuner to do?
as far as your stock ecu running everything, it should work, though you may be a little rich? I know Nico had done a lot of work to his before tuning and it ran... i seem to remember it just bogged occasionally and was really rich.
Hope some of that helps.

Thanks, I believe my best option is to get it running then maybe send it out, that way if my ECU somehow was good for how my setup is, ill be back, im going to try to Start her today!
Just filled it with Amsoil 10w-30 (until it gets colder)
Filled coolant, put on oem oil filter (in the right order of course)
I can barely type im so nervous!

with the amount of time and effort you've clearly put into it, can't see you having any problems.
Best of luck!
