Short Shifter?

Post by droveinmylane »

So the first owner of my 90 legacy wagon five speed AWD tried to make a short shifter i think and cut the shifter rod way short. and ground it down to fit a cheap plastic shifter knob.
So what i am thinking is is there any kind of kit that i could get to replace that and make it a short shifter or am i just going to have to replace that one piece and go stock.
What does stock height look like on this?
What have u guys done to change this?

Last how do i add a pic so i can show u all.

My recommendation would be to pick up an entire stock WRX shifter assembly and replace the u-joint & bolt so you can fit the newer style shift linkage.
