WTB: rhd/jdm manual gauge cluster (first gen)

Post by SubaruSVXCrazy »

I have a 93 postal converted to 5spd and Im looking for a rhd/jdm manual gauge cluster for a first gen legacy. Would this be a plug'n play thing? Id assume not right? I would have used a manual usdm cluster but the printed gauges are on opposite sides from lhd to rhd.

I'm not 100% on this. But I believe the only difference between auto and 5 speed clusters is the overlay part with the gas and temperature gauge. On the auto it has the opening to show the gear selector and 5 speed is solid black. I'm not sure but I think you could swap overlays and remove the auto indicator numbers and plastic parts. I've never opened a 5 speed cluster so this is all best guess.
