Got bored earlier and did the power mode switch with a nifty switch to the left of my wiper. Not super impressed with the mod so far but it probably doesn't help that I'm already such a lead foot.

I spent about 8 hours on Friday, 12+ hours on Saturday, and another 6 hours on Sunday getting the six speed in the car, new rear diff bushings installed, and the car back on the ground. I've still got to do the electrical work, but overall, it's coming along pretty well.

I have to say though, it really gets old crawling under the car so much to do all that work. I've got lots of bumps & bruises, and sore muscles.

Also....your tip of the day when mating a transmission & engine....make sure to spin the engine a little bit so the clutch splines align properly with the trans input splines. ;)

When I did my first 5 speed conversion, I encountered this problem. And believe me, there was a lot of scratching the head and thinking...

And we're talking about the head on your neck guys... In case any of you dirty minded fellows are laughing...

Started the girl at the dealer when they got the battery in and the wiring for the pos and neg terminals. Car started the first time! Tech said there was no water or metal in the oil when they were changing it.

My experiences with a transmission popping out of gear are bad bearings inside or a F*CKED clutch Any Sound coming from the bell-housing area?

i put a new clutch in about 3 monthes ago but no noise that i can tell . it was doing great till the other day now it does it almost every time im in forth gear and let off the gas. most signs are pointing to syncros or just a worn out trans with 230k

I just pulled the dash out of my car....like less than 5 minutes ago. Probably the biggest pain in the butt was all the extra wiring I have added over the years! While I'm working on adding the newest wiring I'll probably try and clean things up a bit.

Now it's time for food, my belly is hungry!

Was it your first time removing your dash? I remember that being an intimidating job the first time. I've done it probably 5 or 6 times now though. Always cut up my hands doing it.

Yeah, first time removing the dash. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I've heard or expected....and yes I cut up my hands a bit too.

Here are pictures of the dash removal & wiring mess.

Replaced knock sensor, no improvement. From what I have been reading all over the internet, the o2 sensor needs to be checked. What o2 sensors can i use on the ej22t?

built a hybrid seat using a 2002 wrx seat and the stock legacy base. I bolted up the upper without any modifications.

The base only required some trimming of the cover hooks and cutting a hole for the height adjuster.
