E-Brake problems. please help!

Post by 92wagon »

I put the new E-brake shoes on with new hardware ..... Now the new rotors won't fit over the new shoes... WTF. The E-brake is released and the adjuster is all the way closed as well. - BRAKE HATE COMMENCE.

What else could be going wrong here??? HELP!

Here are a few pictures of how it sits.... I added the original adjuster thinking that it may be shorter... It wasn't.

Every thing looks good. Have you loosened the cable adjustment? It's under the console but looking at the pics it doesn't look tight.

It may just be that those e-brake shoes are slightly larger than they should be.

Have you looked if there is a lip on the inside of the parking brake drum/rotor? That may be causing the rotor to go back on smoothly.
