lol yeah they make a bunch of silicone hoses for subarus. I don't know which one I got there's a thread on here somewhere with pictures comparing the 02-05 and 06-07 hoses and should tell you which one is the proper one. I bought mine on here from another member and cut it up to fit.

hmmm i'll have to look into that, for now I need to clean up the engine bay and paint the car and do a bit of bondo work. I am going to go with satin black as Maaco's $300 paint job sale is over, otherwise I may have stuck with white. I am going to probably paint the stock wheels gold and then get some 2nd gen leggy snowflakes and hit them off with some purple anodized paint. Should look nice :D

first I gotta find a set lol :) Know of any snowflakes for sale? lolz

In other news, AAMCO's manager decided that he wasn't going to let the car go before it was paid off....b/c he is having probs collecting money from some other clients....fucking bullshit...it is almost paid off anyway but still wtf.

I drive by this thing all the time going to and from work, seeing it and not driving it anger me greatly...especially when I have to drive around in an electrical gremlin ridden S13...i guess it could be worse, it could be a plymouth acclaim lol

only $540 left to pay off before I can take er' home!! Going to start buying all the paint soon

Paint list:
-Satin black = entire body of car, doors, hood, trunk etc

-Gloss black = all the trim and accent pieces

-Anodized purple = snowflake rims, engine bay, maybe the door sills and inside of the doors, the cold side of this TD05 I am buying, maybe the intake manifold (I might just have grimspeed port it for me instead and get a blue coated one)

-STi Pink = brake calipers

that's it for now. On a side note I was talking to a guy at Bren Tuning here about how to tune an SS and he was telling me you can use an 02 wrx ECU and just tune that to your specifications. Is this true? b/c I might be lazy and grab on 02 WRX ECU and just get a COBB AP as there are parts that are selectable that I am going to use. This is going to be my wife's DD so it isn't going to be balls to the wall. Just something fun and will a wee bit more balls than a regular WRX.

I was thinking port the IM and then maybe do something with the heads, maybe my EJ251 heads would be a better match as they flow more air, just need to figure this out before I choose an intake manifold to port. How to the EJ22T heads do with a port and polish? is it even worth it?

No it's not worth porting and polishing an EJ22T. You'd most likely wind up still flowing less than stock DOHC heads and have wasted your money porting and polishing them.

Yeah I thought so, those heads look very narrow and small passage-wise....I was really trying to keep it moderate here, maybe I'll just leave it be. I am sure you can get 200hp out of the stock heads at least. My wife doesn't really need a fucking death rocket here lolz

Can anyone confirm the use of an 02 WRX ECU???

Yeah I made 242 hp & 282 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels on a stock ej22t long block. You can see if the dyno plots that the hp drops off at the higher rpms due to the poor flow characteristics.

http://main.experiencetherave.com/subar ... yno_plots/

With the new motor setup, the cams and higher CR should help it to breathe a little better.

Your best bet for EM is to go with a Robtune EJ20G ECU and the supporting mods.

and rewiring is not something I want to do at all. The EJ20G ECU easy to find already flashed with that tune? I imagine the supporting mod list is similar to the Revtronix prereqs right?

$347 REMAINING!!!!! WHY DO I HAVE TO BE SO POOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this rate I could have swapped in all my RS 5 speed stuff and just say I'll give the RS a new 6MT when I am done!!! Why has every car I own become a project car!!!!

On the plus side the S13 is completed, wiring demons exercised and now it just needs a new clutch and a few minor things....turns out the guy before me had a subaru pressure plate in this thing!!!!!?!?! I mean WTF lolz kinda funny in just how ridiculousness the state of the car when I got it was...anyway here it is now

I'M BACK!!!!!!!

Post by xise »

So I finally paid off the balance to the douchebags at aamco, never again will I ever take any car there. After driving it home I realized it definietly needs a few things. One being a radiator, seeing how this one has the port cracked right off.
Image

it also has NO brakes whatsoever, so theres another piece to add to the list, and it also needs a either a new oil line for the turbo, or maybe just a new setup completely as the lines are leaking oil and causing a lot of smoke....
Image
maybe you can see the smoke

I am sure there is probably more to it but I have yet to open THAT can of worms.

well i figured out where the "hiss" was coming from lol, although before I let them work on it, I really don't remember THAT being broken! Exactly why I don't usually ever take my car to a shop. I wish I would have at least tried to repair the transmission myself, after I got the subaru trans rebuild manual I know I could have done it...just need a few subaru specific tools.

does anyone know of an all aluminum radiator that works for the SS?? I believe I read the wrx rads don't fit (too tall)
