Nico,

What flywheel are you using? I'm interested in using that exedy twin disc setup when I do my 6-spd swap. Any chance you could weigh the clutch, pressure plate, & housing?

Thanks
Josh

Josh that kit you see is a full kit everything comes together the flywheel and disc and covers.

Twins:
FM022SDMC = Twin / Carbon / Sprung = 475 wtq
FM022SBMC1 = Twin / Carbon / Unsprung = 426 wtq
FM022SHBL = Twin / Cerametallic / Unsprung = 585 wtq
FM022SD = Twin / Cerametallic / Sprung = 430 wtq
FM022HD = Twin / Cerametallic / Sprung = 535 wtq

Triples:
FM023SBMC1 = Triple / Carbon / Unsprung = 630 wtq
FM023SB = Triple / Cerametallic / Unsprung = 670 wtq
FM022HB = Triple / Cerametallic / Unsprung = 880 wtq

my buddy race car has the sd i got the hd, these clutchs are easy on the foot but i hear wont last long ! i think ill get two summers out of it not dropping the clutch and being stupid but will see what happens in the end.

ill try and weight everything, but picking it up id say its pretty much same weight as the factory set up. also how much power will you have ? my legacy had the exedy flywheel and there HD version one clutch and it was good for my 390 wtq

I would venture it'll be around 330 wtq range.... The old motor was around 278 wtq, so we'll have to wait and see.

Thanks!

Ha ha, nice touch with the low key poster. lol That car is soo low key nobody will expect it to eat other cars.

What do you have planned for the exhaust? Is it going to let someone know at a red light that you could smoke them?

That car is just amazingly beautiful. I hope you don't mess with the exterior. I'd love to see it with a nice set of wheels and a hidden FMIC as the only exterior appearance changes.

He's going AWIC, so it should be pretty stealthy. Yeah if you keep it like that.....there will be a lot of people that go WTF just happened when it goes screaming by them.

Are you fucking kidding me, your cousin owns a Montreal?! I love those cars! Wrote one into my 3rd book and it's one of the few cars I'd have in a small collection. Those V8's are one of the best sounding engines. A muscle car styled by an Italian is damn near perfect to me and I don't give a rat's ass if the live axle was considered unsophisticated in its day (its "more sophisticated" contemporaries are all old now, too)—it's beautiful, sounds amazing, is respectably quick, and is reasonably affordable (especially for a Gandini design).
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

Flowmaster makes something called a hushpower muffler, it might be worth lookin at their website.

http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/index.php?page=51

Or if you'd rather deal localy there's Flo-Pro which is made in Red Deer. Nice guys up there, their mufflers flew off the shelf when the orders came in.

What a sweet build! I thought mine was gonna be a sleeper. I hope you got a gopro camera to film this insanity at the track. Also want to see a track side video to see how quickly it changes direction. I imagine it will be eating up porshes and just about anything else.
BTW, That maserati is pretty BA! I have never seen one.

i love my sleepers thats for sure. ya once i get it all up and running perfect and everything worked out ! full videos and pics will be taken by a pro. i want to make a nice little video of what i have created and how it is on and off the track for sure.

that jdm maserati was a first for me also !! i was going to buy a biturbo along time ago right before i got my first subaru legacy, it was a convertible all black mint condition. it was my fathers friends car, i wanted it so bad lol !! but then i would have never new what a subaru was !! so i guess it worked out.

so today i look at my car and i find that my CV boot has ripped so right away i put it up on hoist to fix her up !

as i fix the CV boot i might as well add the 20mm xt6 sway bar and my whiteline control arm bushings. i notice my exhaust header has this big un wrapped section ! i got extra header wrap might as well !!

Image

so how does it drive with a 20mm sway bar and whiteline bushings !! :D:D:D lets just say look out STi's ! your Great Grand Father Subaru go show you how its done young wipper snapper's :p

Stock and beat up, my older GLs handled surprisingly well, well enough to annoy BMWs, embarrass GTIs, and surprise the hell out of a C4 Vette. Torsion beam and MacPherson's aren't that bad when there isn't much weight. The biggest problem was the lack of power, so conserving momentum was paramount. You don't have that problem.

i cant believe how well this car drive in stock strip now with this little upgrade its even tighter, i look forward to some griper tires and coilovers its going to be a go kart ! LOL and your right with the power ! its so slow but you need that momentum to get you moving or else forget it lol.
