hey guys i am back on this forum again.
I have noticed there is a new forum some of you are using but i find
it a pain in the arse. I have the this forum's email posted to my
outlook express and can easily & quickly go through and check them -
tried the other new forum and there are too many topics / by topics
extra's etc and i haven't got hours to sift through them all.
so staying here.
cheers, Rod in Oz.

Yup- this works best, esp. given that Outlook can dump 'em all in a separate folder for me...

I'm with you Rod, same goes with libertyrsclub.org. The bbs' are Ok for
discussion but there's no repository for tech documents and photos etc
and it's not difficult to get messages to go through your regular email
client. Willing to try both though.

nick,
yes same goes for the RS liberty new forum. I have / will join them and will occasionally browse through also.
It is a similar setup to the MRT community forums which i sometimes just browse through. For me to read every new thread and topic takes far too long.

I'm surprised there's people that don't like the BBS
better. I personally LOVE it. Not to mention there's
now a much easier way to look stuff up when you need
questions answered. The email list makes it hard to
find old information that's already been discussed.
With the BBS you can just search for the info. Also,
it's not that difficult to read just the new posts on
the BBS. You can click on the "view new posts since
last visit" if you've got cookies enabled. It's a
really nice feature and that's how I keep up to date
with the BBS. It's too bad really.

I like both.....I unlike most people probably d/l every message and dump it to its own folder. So I physically have a copy of every email sent.....so searching is pretty simple, because I can just search through the messages like I do normally in Outlook. It sounds like the people that like the email setup do something similar as well.
Plus....it's one less board I have to go check on......I already check three pretty consistantly......I don't need more.......I just can go to my email.

Thanks Brian
I'll give post since last visit a try.
It's not that I don't like the BBS, I just didn't have a problem with
yahoo as some others did, except maybe the ads.
Cheers, Nick
