Post by Spud-GT »

We got bored today so we took some new pics with his new black 2.5RS rims on it. Looks very sick imo.

Ever notice how when people post pictures of thier cars there is almost always at least one other Subaru in the background?

Those RS wheels look AWESOME in black. Especially on the black car. Were those powdercoated or painted?

Nice! I'm a sucker for black wheels on a black car! If you dechromed it completely, it would only look better! 8)

Isnt that just the same method as smoking the tail lights? If so, then Justin, I sorta know how to do it.

If it were me, and I wanted to do it right....at least on my 91, it looks like that whole reflector is an insert on that back panel kinda like the yellow is in our blinkers. So I'd pull that off and then paint it. Then somehow put it back on. The problem is you could smoke it, but your subaru or Legacy writing on the back won't be as noticable. It may be easier on the 92-94 because I think the subaru/legacy writing on the back is in red, were as mine is silver.

I'd actually like to paint over it. I have it debaged in the front and plan on putting a carbon fiber "I" where the subaru logo used to be. That way no one will have a clue what it is. MUHAHAHA!

That could look cool aswell, but I do much prefere the legacy sticking out in red.

If it were me though, I'd pull one of thses numbers:
Image

course leave the badges visible but I aws too lazy to do that.

Yes that is how I'd do it ryan. I'm sure it's just like the headlights where you have to heat it up to get it to pry open, the njust reheat to get it to seal up again.

About what i jut posted you can do this and still have the lights underneat bright enough if you only use a few minor coats of rc car window tint. Mine show up fairly well. I think i should've went a lil lighter on the reverse though.

Also the only problem with doing this is I believe that car is a jdm spec one, so the lights are actually on the sides whereas the usdm 92-94 lights are in the middle as well as the side.
