How hard would it be to get a spell checker?

Post by legacycontinues »

Is there a program that can be added that checks spelling before a post is added?

I only ask because thanks to the migranes and seizures I suffer, I have a hard time spelling alot of words that are simple to most.

Something like outlook express has.

Just a though.

I did a search before posting

there's spell-checkers you can use online, and such, I believe. But I've never heard of an in-line one for bbs-style websites. The 'aftermarket' ones I refer to are the cut-and-paste style, where you'd copy all the text you're gonna post, run it thru spell check, and then modify as needed.
MSWord for some of you?

There actually IS one for PHPbb, if I'm not mistaken. The hack does NOT look easy, though.

SpellingCow is one that comes with EasyMod for phpBB. Haven't tried it myself on my board yet. I like seeing what supposedly educated people can do when placed in front of a keyboard :)

Spelling hacks are pretty complicated.

The only time i ever correct anything is when it's in a topic subject.
