I suspected the slop, cliclks, and clunks when going over pothles and mild drops (4" into driveway) were due to the worn endlinks in the front. I looked into stock replacements and they were $37.22 apiece. Well, the stock bushings had failed rather miserably, and I wanted something more durable and, if they're stiffer and handle better, then all the better.
Perrin and others sitting in the $120/pair range were right out- this is a loved familymobile, not a high-performance beastie.
For those looking for them, they can be a PITA to find via google searches and often they're listed as compatible for the Impreza only (even though Whiteline's own Literature states they're drop-in replacements for the Legacy). And at about $60 / PAIR, they're a steal.

Removal of old:
Yep, doing it on the ground on a level surface is strongly suggested. I was able to remove all the bolts with a 3/8 drive socket wrench and box wrenches.
Installation of new:
Slid into existing framework with only mild taps of a hammer for alignment of holes. Had to flex the swaybar a bit to install. All in all it was a 30-minute job on my buddy's lift with hand tools. Access would be tight, but doable, with car on ground and front wheels turned in approprate direction.
After the conversion:
Wow. Like night and day. Silent over potholes, steering seems to be aligned slightly better (is this just in my head?), body roll is greatly reduced, steering response is a bit better.
Testamonial - Whiteline Endlinks

I had this same setup on my 2.5RS (both front and rear), and they worked very well, but one of the rears broke (I assume from binding) and so I have switched to the Perrin rears now (which have spherical bearings which supposedly prevent binding).
I'm actually surprised they still have that style of endlink, since I thought I had seen where Whiteline had switched to the thicker design like the Kartboy endlinks are (or maybe I'm thinking of the latest MRT endlinks which are virtually identical to the Kartboy endlinks except for the color (though I don't think the MRTs have the spherical bearings like the Kartboys and Perrins do)).
NOTE: I should probably point out that I have a 22mm/18-22mm (front/rear) Whiteline swaybar setup on my 2.5RS and autocross it very frequently (on 225mm Victoracers with +45 offset wheels, no less), so I probably put a little more stress on the endlinks than the average street car sees. Also the fronts have held up fine for several years now, so perhaps only the rear really needs the spherical bearings to survive.

Endlinks changed to the c-shape for 92 or 93.
(this is a 94 swaybar with 99 lateral links and endinks and 02 mounts on a 93)

Its nice mod...
BTW, can i use the 92 swaybar with 02WRX Lateral link with the C shape Endlink?
Also, dose your swaybar has bushing at the hole? My 92 swaybar has a bushing on the hole for connec with the dogborn style endlink.
Do you have any more pics at other angle so I could keep in ref. when I got all the parts to do the swap.
Thanks
Ben
