Yellow top 440cc?

Post by Dr. Gonzo »

My appologies if this is in the wrong section, mod please move if so. But hey, the injectors are in the intake manifold, right?
Anyways, I bought a set of what are claimed to be 440cc yellow top jdm injectors off a 99 sti, but I've only found info here on grey top 440cc's. My question: Do yellow top 440's exist and where they on 99 sti's?
I can't afford EM right now sp I will just be running these off the stock ecu (TD04 & '06 TMIC). I realize this isn't ideal but it'll work as long as these really are 440's and not 550's or something.
Here's a link (yeah they were a little pricy...):

They look different then the US STi 550 cc/min injectors.

I haven't heard of 440 yellows....but they might be....

Also, will move this to the engine forum.

For starters those are side feed injectors.

I don't know much about the European STi's except that they are 2.0l and may then require a smaller injector.

It's odd that the item location is in Florida yet the auction is done in GBP for currency.

I assumed since they are side feed they would fit in 92-94 N/A fuel rails, right? I haven't picked the fuel rails up yet...
I was a little hesitant, but am hoping for the best as I wasn't able to find any 440's recently (I'm sure I could've looked harder, I'm lazy ;) I suppose I could get them blueprinted to find out?

Those look more like they'd fit the 90-91 n/a AT fuel rails.

Interesting, how can you tell? Hopefully my suby mechanic has some of these rails laying around as well if they don't fit into his 92-94 n/a's.

Because the injectors I pulled out of my 90 n/a motor have the long nozzle at the end.

They were standard in some twin turbo setups, like the EJ20R.

Yellow Side feeds are the 480's that came on EJ20Ks & EJ20Rs.
I have a couple of sets of these myself.

Thanks for the insight gentlemen! Are the fuel rails to EJ20Ks & EJ20Rs specific to those motors or will I be able to go junkyard diving for somthing that will fit my ej22t?
Nico- what fuel rails does the deutchworks kit make these fit into?

Thanks in advance!

the deutchworks kit fits in the rails of the pic you posted about. so if you take out these 480cc injectors yellow and want ot run normal side feeds you can.
