What injectors fit the stock rails

Post by know1 »

I have done a bunch of reading and found for certain that 550 and up injectors definately do not fit ej22t rails. At the same time though I have read contradicting threads regarding grey top 440s fitting stock rails on a 94 ss. Can anyone clear up wether the grey top 440s fit the stock rails on a 94 ss. Also, do any injectors (other than stock) fit these rails?

That's just the point. The more I read the more contradiction I find. I was sure that 440 grey tops fit the n/a rails and not the ej22t rails. But then upon reading more I found some who said they fit ej22t rails as well.

Please don't bother responding with another search again responce, I do search a lot. And saying that turns this place into nasioc.

The 550's fit the 92-94 n/a rails.

As for the 440's, if they are like what are in the doug's pics, they fit the 90-91 AT n/a rails.

And to add to the confusion, I was told HERE the Yellow 480cc Side Feeds (JDM wrx-sti) would also fit my EJ22T rails...which contradicts what I've read on here.

EDIT: Orig. listed as 440cc injectors

The injectors in that thread look most like the 90-91 n/a AT injectors, and not the turbo legacy injectors, so I would question the accuracy about them fitting the EJ22t rails.

Injectors and rails - pics

Post by wtdash »

Hopefully this will be of use.

EDIT: Orig. listed as 440cc injectors.

I intend to install Yellow-top 480cc injectors from a JDM WRX/STi EJ20k so I can get the TD04 chip from Revtronix.com.

I initially thought I needed the '92-94 EJ22 rails and I bought a set of '94 EJ18 rails (same as '92-94's) to have just in case, but thanks to 555BCTurbo & livestrong14 I discovered the stock rails WILL work.

Also, the '90 EJ22 (AT) rails are identical to the '91 EJ22T rails. Legacy777 dropped that hint, as well.
Edit - 11-2010: According to this POSTthe '90-91 AT rails ARE NOT the same as the EJ22T rails.

Edit/Update: '93 EJ22T rails and injectors appear identical to '91 EJ22T, but haven't determined which years use the metal washers above and below the bolts that hold the rails down... but they were on the '90 EJ22 and '91 EJ22T, and '93 EJ22T

All 4 injectors:

And just for grins, here's the 480cc Injectors' flow test.

and Injectors' flow test ohms/volts (Edit: They are 480 Yellow injectors, not 440s - tester wrote what I told them which was wrong.)
