'92 T sedan,
20g heads/intake 22T bottom end,
VF-10
MBC & FCD,
3.90 5spd,
clutch type LSD,
02 wrx IC,
3" turbo back,
98 outback GR2's with spring perches moved up 2" for more lift,
215/60/16 I-PIKES

crappy paint/rust, chopped fenders, ugly hose mess under the hood, lots of little things like junk heater controls and no cup holders left to sort, but it drives...

I like it!

Needs a 4.44 trans a rear gear. A dual range Aussie Forester box would be sweet!

4.44's are more $ than I have into the project total, I do have and old school 3.90 d/r part time 4wd trans/adapter plate/driveline setup, but the clutch options are limited and they don't handle much abuse under boost.

"a rear gear"- ?

My welded rear diff stays in the brat, plain scary on ice
Ill stick with the cluch type rear LSD from an rx, it's served duty in 6 cars now, it laughs at the vlsd that was in there.

If any of them Forester EJ dual range transmissions ever made it to North America (as part of a swap or something) they *might* be cheap because nothing here uses them.

Rear gear = rear diff. If you change the transmission ratio you need to change the rear gears also is what I was refering to. Ah, just noticed I typoed...Should have read---"and a rear gear".

It has amazing traction/power drifting up to the ski hill, and less body roll than I thought, its still a lifted lego, so the asphalt handling isn't 'refined'. lightweight exedy flywheel sucks off the pavement, and, and, and. Still a work in progress.

"custom lift?"
-yup, all suspension, '03? wrx sedan springs + '98 outback gr2's with the spring perches moved up for a tighter coil. Scorpion springs would look simmilar. Axle boots are all still good too.

Thanks for the interest

One of them gearboxes has actually made it to the US, just like a month or so ago..... Guy sold it for a pretty penny, somewhere in the $1500 range I think?
