Yeah, most of the rigidity increase from the brace would come from the diagonal as that's reinforcing the greatest area of weakness.

i had it on my gc, and it made a huge diffrence felt stronger an stiffer.

LOL LOL so true, but when your in a ice box and the heat come's, its like your defrosting and it seem's so hot out hahah.

i dont really remember how much i paid for it guys, becuse i got a couple other things in a bundle deal which will cover when i strip my gc down and start swaping things over as i go along.

Are you gonna use a man-sized turbo with that beefy motor and large intercooler?

That's not too bad. It's underneath so I don't think it jumps out at the average person.

ya the rust is just starting on the parts but the car was sitting for a while before i got it. once i strip the gc down, its got all new parts to go on, rust free.

im just waitting on new fenders, trunk lid, an scoop to come in, and then i can get it painted up.

WOW, this is great!

This is nearly what I'm going to do to my SS, only I'm dropping all my stuff in an L shell... No sunroof, no ABS... I was amazed at how much weight just the sunroof assembly added to the car. If there's any weight going back in my car, I'm using some strategic sound deaden-er sheeting...

Nice. Gotta love the full paintjob and associated teardown. I'm in progress in the same game. I'm dependent on weather though.

Just make sure you go easy on the butyl based sound deadener and go heavy on the foams. The foam is what really blocks the noise out and the deadener is just to keep the panels from resonating so you don't need much of that and that's what adds all the weight. Use the luxury liner type vinyl backed thick closed cell foam to kill road noise.

sorry guys but i cant take pics of the car becuse i need room to work on the motor's for it.

everything is in the car just not the motor.

Image

the motor in this car is going to be a ej22t, with ej20k dohc heads.
it has wiseco pistons, carrillo rods, acl race bearings, arp head studs, cometic head gaskets.

the heads are all checked and valve lash is set and ready to go.

brembos getting new paint in background.

Image

this motor was in my gc, got it in a scrap yard. it had 250,000kms, i rebuilt it all stock spec and still is in mint condition with 400,000kms, 25psi of boost.

it has ej20g dohc heads which need new hydraulic adjusters, and its ready to rock.

Image

this is a spare legacy block im going to build just incase lol, it came out of the silver legacy.

Image

painted red intake for fun.
