I agree...I need to find a good junk yard here at home. I don't think we really have any good ones.

I had a 90 legacy SS before and the trim was showing pieces of chrome like yours and I hit up the junkyard and found a wagon with no chips and it made it look worlds better. I'm gonna vinyl my roof black too

I gotta figure out where to get the vinyl. I just stopped by PIA and showed Jake what I've done with his old car and checked out his red SS and he showed me his vinyl roof and it looks nice. I forgot to ask him where to get the vinyl from. He sueded his headliner black too and it's nice.

Cleaned up the Suby's yesterday...they look good. Also took some time and detailed the engine on the SS....

The wagon just turned over 225,000 a couple days ago and still going strong!



I just bought a 98 Legacy GT and I'm thinking of doing the 2.5 swap on the wagon along with some upgrades off of the LGT. It has front end damage, but it didn't affect the engine and the frame looks to be good.



It will save me money for now so I can still upgrade the wagon, but also get the SS painted.

Any thoughts?

I did some work today on the 94 FWD. I'm getting there trying to replace these head gaskets but now I have to get a chain wrench to take off this damn crank pulley.

Also pulled apart the whole front on the 98 LGT and the frame looks to be good which is a huge relief! So now, I need to decide whether or not I want to fix the car completely or just use it for parts. I'm leaning towards just fixing it completely. It will need a DS front fender, radiator, A/C condensor, radiator support, front bumper and bumper beam.

I love how it rides! It is very tight and hard. I think the stance is about perfect too, not high but not too low either. I think I'm going to have to get new struts in the near future though.

It has been a while since I have posted on my build thread. I have decided to keep my wagon N/A since I have an STi and it is a lot of work to change the wagon over to turbo.

My future plans for it would be to put in a 2.5 when/if the 2.2 motor goes. Right now it is at 231,1xx and still going strong! I am still loving every second in it.

I might try and get a fog light bar/mount fabricated for it so I can get this Hella lights to mount solidly on the front. Any ideas?

It is snowing heavily here today so I might try and have some fun! I might be able to take a pic or two...

I also forgot to mention that I sold the SS, the 98 red LGT, and the white 94 N/A.

My girl also sold her '08 Legacy and bought a 2010 LGT...which is very sick.

My current project is a '98 outback that we bought and I am currently rebuilding the motor in the dining room! We bought it very cheap with blown head gaskets. She can't say much since it is going to be her DD!

Nice car! where is the coolant by pass hose is leaking? my car leaks when its really cold. like below -20C...other than that no leaks.

also where did you buy those foglights from?

the coolant bypass hose is a tiny hose, probably 1/2" thick and 6" long, that is right between the water pump and where the dipstick goes into the oil pan

bought the lights online because I couldn't find them in any local auto parts stores.

I just came across an Outback for cheap and took some parts off of it today for my wagon. I am going to take off the struts and springs soon as well to give it that "lift" it so desperately needs.

Anyway, I took off the rear bumper cover and modified it to fit mine. I think it came out pretty good.
