-Its my fuel cut switch for dummy thieves. Figure it would buy me a couple more seconds if someone tried to mess with the car at my place of living. I'll just say I don't trust my neighborhood.

Yeah thought it was something like that.....that's pretty cool.

My ECU has an anti-theft type feature that kills fuel & ignition. I would like to wire that up to a dummy switch like that or I'd love to hook that up to an RFID tag setup where I can put a transmitter in my alarm or the key fob.

-Played with Plasti-Dip for my first time and I would have to say, I am sold on it. A little pricey, around 8-10 bucks a can, but much cheaper than vinyl or a real paint job. Not only that, if I don't like it, I can take it off... awesome stuff! So I went ahead and painted a bunch of my trim pieces and here is how it turned out.

-So an example of what it looked like before. All the painted chrome was peeling, etc.

-Prep:
Image

-All pieces got three coats, and two cans covered all door and front/rear bumper trim, the grill and top, door center trim:

-The trunk garnish I wanted to redo but ran out of product... next time!
Image

-As I was masking off pieces, I realized how bad my rust really was:

-I have to say, it looks much better than what it did. Cant wait to do more, rims might be next too!

I really thought hard about painting my trunk garnish black but was afraid it might not look good. You confirmed that it does.

Nice budget edm mod man, im going to add that to the list of stuff I will do.

-When I first got the car it had the air water intercooler. I took that off then went to an 02 wrx intercooler. That was a stupid fit. Then I went to an 06 Forrester XT top mount. Now I have my MRT front mount.

-Sorry, I must of overlooked your question. I just tapped into the fuel pump relay, under the dash, kinda above the fuse box, or kinda like, behind the driver side air vent.

Looks great. I plan to do the same although maybe not the whole trim piece, just the chipping paint on the top parts. I have 3 cans as well.

Tip: Now that you've got your rims painted and fresh, coat them in opti-coat 3.0 and they'll be a breeze to wash after that. Otherwise they'll get dirty and nasty and not want to get clean ever again.

-I do not. That has been long gone. I do plan on going back to a tmic though. I'm just getting bored of the lag from the fmic and would rather have better response.

-Thanks COTruckin. We should meet up soon.
-Been having fun with plasti dip. After doing the trim and rims, I got hooked and had to do more. Just pickin' pieces that have nicks and chips, I decided to do my mirrors, wiper arms and hood scoop.

-So my custom coolant tank decided to spring a leak today, luckily I had a wrx tank backup. So found some metal in the shed and fabbed up some brackets to hold the tank where the a/c use to be:

Looks good! Like I said, I like how those tanks fit in the spot where the AC compressor sat.
