Strering wheel "wobble"

Post by Someperson »

Spun my fwd daily in the snow, replaced the tires and it still feels like unbalanced tires at upwards of 55mph. Think its wheel bearings? Hit the snowbank sideways at around 20 wheel fully turned towards it...

Do you notice the shaking/wobble in the steering wheel, in the seat, or "all over"?

All over, thinking it could be control arms and/ or bearings

Did you change rims also or just tires? Might also be a bent hub, I don't think the bearing or control arm would do that. I've also been wrong before.

You think the steelies could be bent? Or the actual hub bent bc of the drift? Lol

I've bent one of my rims in a snow bank and had no visual damage.

It can still balance but the rim would still move back and forth. Mine was bent 1/4 inch and balanced perfect but still wobbled.

You can rotate the tire to the back. Then your steering wheel won't wobble.
