No start after timing belt tensioner failed

So like the title says, the tensioner failed and I replaced it. Used the correct timing marks, all that. I get fuel, and the crank and cam sensors work. I need to check for spark as I had no way of checking last night. Is there anything else I might be missing?

Update: I have no spark.

Timing is off or cam or crank sensor is bad. There are 2 marks on the crank sprocket, which did you use.

Timing is not off, and I know I used the correct mark on the sprocket. The sensor is also working correctly.

What else causes no spark then. Bad coilpack or ecu? Seems a little unlikely since you just jumped timing.

I guess I should also metion that the car just, died, then the tensioner failed. Not sure if that is something that happens or not, and then it would not start after that. I thought it was ring inf and I'm pretty sure it was off by 8-9 teeth, so I replaced the tensioner. It had a son coilpack on it before and I have replace that with a OEM Diamond pack. Would wire and/or plugs be the issue as well? The car rolls in nut rap so I know nothing is blocking the crank motion. The car is still showing the same symptoms after I fixed timing as it did before when it died on me.

Do you recall it having any check engine light prior to it dying?

I had no check engine lights or as such. Right before it happened the car ran perfectly.

So I have spark and plugs seem in good whape. Wire are new as well.

What codes come up

Code 31 is the only one coming up now, throttle sensor. Which I thought was impossible to adjust if the cat was not running, is that correct?

You just need to have the car in the on position. I'd fix that and then check to see if you still have spark and fuel.

I'd also check for broken ground straps. These were not known for fantastic grounding from the motor to the battery.

So the car sat for almost 2 months. I was talking to a friend about it and he said check compression. So I checked compression (165psi average) and then also checked timing. Both were good so put everything back together and the car started right up. Had not changed anything and it suddenly works. And explanation??
