I am new to this forum and also new to subaru engines, my back round
is with air cooled engines. My project is installing a EJ2.2t in a 71 beetle. I have had this engine for awhile with intention of installing in the winter. I'm in the midst of gathering parts together for the install.
Engine is complete minus harness, computer and some sensors, ignitors, Maf, Map, turbo solenoid. My first question is there different harness and computer for different years? I think mine is from 1990 as it has oil cooler above filter. Are these other components that I require still available from dealers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The north american turbo Legacies were offered from 91-94. There may be some differences in the harness between these years, but all should be compatible for this engine.

I don't think you'll find much left in Subaru's inventory but you can check at some of the various online Subaru parts stores and see what you can get.
